Mother Fears Election of Romney Will Hand U.S. Over to Mormon Cult Leadership
Phoenix, Arizona - February 24, 2012 - A hospice nurse has come forward with a story of mind control and abuse at the hands of a bishop in the Mormon Church. Julie Barnes provides vivid details of the Mesa, Arizona near abduction in her book, From the Depths, self published in 2000. She claims that she was chosen to be another wife for a polygamist Mormon man, temporarily “going insane” from the mind control that was used to recruit her.
Ms. Barnes said she is coming forward because Mitt Romney is in the 2012 election, and she fears Romney could win if the country is not made aware of the Mormon Church's long term ambition to succeed in winning the White House. "I've researched the Latter Day Saints, the Mormons, for years because of what happened to me," Barnes began.
Her website, www.NoMormonforPresident.com went live today.
“If a Mormon becomes the United States President, our country would have a cult religion's doctrines at the base of it's highest political office." Barnes stated. "All Mormons must follow the dictate of their supreme leader, the President of the Mormon Church, who speaks as God. This Mormon mandate comes before all other personal duties or obligations, period. Hence, the election of Romney puts the Mormon Church into the U.S. Presidency."
Barnes continued, "Women are in great danger with a Mormon now running for President. The incredible subjugation of women is plainly in the recent history of the Mormon Church. Romney's great-grandfather, Miles Romney, had five wives and fled to Mexico when the U.S. government legally forced polygamist Mormon men in 1882 to stop the Mormon practice of marrying multiple wives. We don't need a Mormon in the White House who is immersed in a new religion that denies women equal rights, nor one who believes that he will literally become a god. Mormon men believe in multiple Gods: themselves.”
“I almost died at the hands of a Bishop, a Mormon High Priest.” Barnes stated. “He threatened me with a knife for hours, telling me that I had to die because I wasn't pure enough and that my blood had to spill out. This is called 'Blood Atonement' by Mormons.”
"Mormons, or Latter Day Saints, are not Christian. The Mormon Church is a cult. Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon Church, had multiple wives, even marrying a 14 year old girl, the same age as Elizabeth Smart when she was abducted.” Barnes said.
Evangelical voters paused last October after Pastor Robert Jeffress of Dallas, Texas also referred to Mormonism as a cult during a Christian convention. Theological opinions aside, the real question seems to be, will Mitt Romney have the ability to separate all U.S. Presidential duties from his life long Mormon involvement without mixing the two? A former Mormon Bishop's daughter and political consultant, Tricia Erickson says Romney cannot make the necessary separation. Erickson's book, “Can Romney Serve Two Masters?” concludes that “An indoctrinated Mormon should never be elected as President.”
Only time will tell for the Romney campaign, as voters become more aware of Romney's background and the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saint's relatively short history and unusual practices.
