Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11414475 Oh really that is not true, I have a lot of Apocryphical books, none of them are forbissen, no SWAT of the Vatican. But if you publish something what goes against the islam, the imams and others will send a SWAT team. Forgotten the story of Salman Rushdie and his book satanic verses? exactly . . . |

Jerichofall User ID: 1316155 Australia 02/25/2012 08:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. John 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. Then Jesus according to this thread predicts the coming of a prophet who will deny His divinity... lol. Unless Jesus predicted that a false prophet would arise who would claim the spirit of denying Jesus Christ - therefore by definition Muhammad is anti-christ and Islam is also. Ok now here is something interesting. Abraham gave birth to Isaac and Isaac to Jacob who had twelve sons making the twelve tribes of Israel. However Arbaham had Ishmael first to his Egyptian hand maid, and it was said of Ishmael that: "But as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: behold I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation." Genesis 17:20 Muhammad claims lineage I believe to Ishmael, and tells the Genesis story a *little* differently to the bible (which pre-dates him by several hundred+ years) by saying Ishmael was the son of Abraham and Sarah, not the hand maid... go figure. Matt 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Psalm 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: Ruth 1:1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. |

Quoting: Osirus A secret Bible in which Jesus is believed to predict the coming of the Prophet Muhammad to Earth has sparked serious interest from the Vatican. Pope Benedict XVI is claimed to want to see the 1,500-year-old book, which many say is the Gospel of Barnabas, that has been hidden by the Turkish state for the last 12 years. The £14million handwritten gold lettered tome, penned in Jesus' native Aramaic language, is said to contain his early teachings and a prediction of the Prophet's coming. Read more: [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] Do u know why the pope wants to see? In 383 A.D., the Pope secured a copy of the Gospel of Barnabas and kept it in his private library. link... [link to www.answering-christianity.com] The Gospel of Barnabas was accepted as a Canonical Gospel in the Churches of Alexandria till 325 A.D. Iranaeus (130-200) wrote in support of pure monotheism and opposed Paul for injecting into Christianity doctrines of the pagan Roman religion and Platonic philosophy. He had quoted extensively from the Gospel of Barnabas in support of his views. This shows that the Gospel of Barnabas was in circulation in the first and second centuries of Christianity. In 325 A.D., the Nicene Council was held, where it was ordered that all original Gospels in Hebrew script should be destroyed. An Edict was issued that anyone in possession of these Gospels will be put to death. LOOK...I know there is a creator..if you dont i dont have a problem with it.. be perfect though..IF THE CREATOR SHOWED EACH AN EVERY PERSON THE WAY HE SHOWED ME1 Yeah right...I did my college training in translation work so I had extensive training in ancient texts and Linguistics, and this is the first I have ever heard of such an "edict". And for what purpose? there was a big problem of determining the canon of scripture anyway, why would they want to destroy any text let alone all Hebrew texts? Probably some form of propaganda that was to be used by the muslim powers in Anatolia to try and persuade the Kazakh Empire of the period in converting to Islam. They were in a theological tussle with the Byzantium Empire and Orthodox Christianity in trying to garner the support of the Kazakh's who were the eastern bulwark against the spread of Islam into Europe, In the end the Kazakh's converted to Judaism. They inturn became the Eastern European jewish people who were pushed further west by Mongol invasion and the vacum left after the Black death. Or so I believe....Don't quote me I am not an expert... |
