How Dissociative Are You? Test that Measures Dissociation
Take this test and find out

I scored very high, but I'm already diagnosed with DID so I'm curious to see how the rest of the population (or at least the populous on GLP) ranks...

well i guess not everybody. do you think most people on this forum were severely abused enough that they had to dissociate the pain away by creating separate personalities? I dont know, but I would think there would be more schizophrenics and bipolar people on this site...as far as abused people, i dont know...

Re: How Dissociative Are You? Test that Measures Dissociation
I scored 50... When I am anxious, which is most the time around people, I tend to try and say something to someone but instead say it like I was talking to myself, or more frequently and weirder, I instead say it as if I was talking to whoever was making me the most anxious in the room. So like, I'd be serving a customer at work and the regional manager walks in, I go to say hello to the customer but my voice breaks and its as if I was carrying my voice and saying hello to the regional manager, who will be like Er hi, wtf.

Really fucking with my head, people think I do it on purpose to manipulate or something, like its a talent! I hate it!

Re: How Dissociative Are You? Test that Measures Dissociation
12. Some people have the experience of feeling that other people, objects, and the world around them are not real.

How else can you conceive even the basics of science.

14. Some people have the experience of sometimes remembering a past event so vividly that they feel as if they were reliving that event.

Good memory = dissociation?

18. Some people find that they become so involved in a fantasy or daydream that it feels as though it were really happening to them.

I pity those who have to write fiction without this ability or read their stories.

19. Some people find that they sometimes are able to ignore pain.

That's a skill !

20. Some people find that that they sometimes sit staring off into space, thinking of nothing, and are not aware of the passage of time.

Meditation is awesome.

27. Some people sometimes find that they hear voices inside their head that tell them to do things or comment on things that they are doing.

Unless they're brain dead.. it's called thinking

According to the test, I am okay. But I do dissociate purposely in crowds. I am a hermit basically. I love people, just not all at once.

im pretty sure that question is talking about flashbacks which occur in PTSD and both ptsd and did are co-occuring disorders...well you can have ptsd and not DID but if you have DID then PTSD is almost always accompanied by that.

Anyways this is about to where these things happen so much to the point that it interferes with daily life and you dont remember what happens until you see a knife in your hand and blood dripping from your fucking wrists because one of your alters is PISSED about some decision that was made that they didn't like or some disturbing as FUCK memory is coming to the surface that they're trying to block all the while suffering nightmares and jumping at every little thing and changing into different people and having no idea who I am half the time. FUCK.
sorry.
its been a bad day.
apologies

That's because to stay in business Psychiatry/Psychology organizations must create new "mental disorders" every few years. And they are very, very imaginative!

All part of the huge Snake-oil Salesmen Association.

Just think of the "Cure for Cancer" campaigns to raise funds for "research" all the time. It's been, what, about 90 years now they've been selling that BS about a "cure."

If you answer the test, be dishonest. They certainly are.hf
