The reason why? They don't want you to get good gas mileage because the less gas you buy the less taxes you are paying. That is why most trucks get around 15 mpg on their best days and cars get in the 20's. Seems to me that $150,000 would buy a lot of damn gas for my late model F-150 that gets about 18 per gallon. Hell, I could just buy the newest biggest, gas hog on the lot for around $45,000 and STILL have enough money left over to buy around 25,000 gallons of gas for it at $4/gallon...or about 450,000 miles worth. |
