Except that I'm writing a story, and in the story, the antagonist tries to lie to the protagonist about how the person he'd killed had wounded himself on the 'glass' of a case she'd bought him to protect his valuables. The 'silent death' thing was for a story, too...

Sometimes you can do things that others may find suspicious for completely legitimate reasons. I'm not even slightly a terrorist, but 'how to kill silently' and 'how to break bulletproof glass' can look suspicious if you don't know the reason for it.

As a law-abiding person, I have a right to privacy. It's criminals who relinquish that right, not people who obey the laws... yet it is we whom they want to spy on anyway. A law abiding person should never be incarcerated because "your web searches looked suspicious".

I was like WTF when I saw my youtube and gmail acct were linked up without my permission or request.

I'm still going to delete my gmail acct though here soon. Gotta let my contacts know, then I'm outta there.

Look, if the government were really serving the people instead of the corporate entities, there would be simple regulations which would allow them to continue, but without interfering with individual rights. But the interests in profit mesh with the interests in control. They've gotten into bed together and we're left out in the cold.

This annoyns me, I have always used google. Surely they aint spying on every web search that takes place?

if you think deleting your browsing history and clicking on that little opt out option is going to keep companies from sharing your info, your just naive.

I deleted my web history and account yesterday but you do a search and the web history is all still up there.

Well, even with an account you can't even get rid of it.. it only removes them visibly to you, but it will remain in the archive. I don't advise this, but, if you created an account you would then have access to your search history. But like I said, it's kind of pointless..

Yes, everything is recorded in your 'profile' and has been for a while already...
