Major Ed Dames' "THE KILLSHOT" DVD
Like many of you, I have read/listened to Maj. Ed Dames proclaim a sizzling end to our good old Terra for years now. I always thought him mildly amusing -and perhaps a little prophetic- whenever he appeared on Coast-To-Coast AM with Art Bell, sometimes staying up a little later than usual just to hear him.

Of course: "Dr. Doom" Dames has his own reputation here at GLP, but I'm here to provide a mini-review of his latest DVD, "THE KILLSHOT / APPROACHING THE MOMENT".

First, this DVD has been widely sold by Dames for $24.95. Now, he offers it FREE, for a $6.95 shipping charge. Pretty fair, since they ship 1st-class mail [I got mine in a blazing 3-days] that costs $1.81 postage. Even with mass-production of these discs, Dames can't be pocketing much on each one of these sales. I'm guessing maybe $2-3.

NOW, about the movie:

It is very professionally produced with a full, strong stereo soundtrack [Dolby Digital AC3] and good 16:9 [720x480] image. It runs about 40 minutes.

The initial 15 minutes is spent providing background on Maj. Dames' work in Remote-Viewing, first for the U.S. military intelligence agencies and later the private sector. The info is clearcut and uncluttered and underscores the "hits" that Dames and his followers claim to have made in their viewing sessions. Three such hits are repeated during the program:

1. a 1980's record-breaking solar flare [X35 class, folks!] that could've wiped out Earth in an eyeblink had it been directed our way;

2. an outbreak of crop-killing fungus previously unseen and widely reported, and the biggie:

3. the Japanese EQ and resulting meltdown of the Fukushima nuclear power facilties [which are a major concern even now]. The inclusion of this material illustrates how recently this DVD was produced.

All three of these predictions are validated in the film with the audio portions of Dames' Coast-To-Coast radio appearances where he announced them well in advance of their occurance. I honestly wasn't aware of Dames' Fukushima prediction and it took me completely by surprise as I watched the DVD.

As for the "KILLSHOT" - Dames does get pretty doomy in the final 15 minutes of his presentation, stating we are literally, toast. Or at least MOST of us. He states that there are TWO precusors to the great BBQ, however...

1. Sol will do its Danse Macabre shortly after we see North Korea pop off a nuke in anger, and

2. a space "shuttle" will have to return to Earth due to a meteor storm. Now, I know that many people dismissed Dames for this one... saying [rightly so] that the U.S. space shuttle program is now officially defunct. However: he points out that there are actually several shuttle programs still in operation, including a Russian system as well as the Virgin commercial shuttle [for paying passengers]. So, I'll cut Dames some slack and consider this one an open option.

The killshot itself will be mercifully swift as it knocks out all planetary communications and power grids. For years. No food. Water. Plant/Animal life. Nada. Oh, pockets of humans will still survive in isolate areas... my only gripe is that Dames doesn't actually tell you where these "safe zones" may be -he only hints at some in Northern Europe- instead, he emphasises that you'd better make your last tank of gas count when you head for the hills [or caves, I suppose!]. In fact, Dames never states the "world will end" - but that it will forever change for those [un]lucky enough to survive.

So, there it is. As I said, this disc is "free" for the asking -or rather sharing of $6.95 -but I've spent more on much worse DVD's and am glad I ordered this one... if only to pass around to enlighten my slow-thinking-still-in-the-box friends!

And who knows? Time may really be as short as Dames indicates. I'm still pondering if that's the reason he no longer charges $24.95 for this piece...

Since this is a review and not a shameless plug, I'll not furnish details on how you can get your own. The Keyword: "KILLSHOT" should get you there easily.

Like you, I was cynical regarding Dames... but it doesn't take a Rhodes scholar to look around at the solar activity we've experienced in the past few months alone to figure out that "Dr. Doom" may just be onto something.

As far as your comment regarding Dames as a wildcard: that's just it. His former handlers probably expected him to be dismissed as a lunatic [as your own sneering syntax suggests] and not worth their muzzling. Especially after he's already reached such a wide audience via the C-2-C shows. Rather like: locking the barn after the horse has already bolted.

It's still a slickly-produced little film and well worth watching: either in YouTube segments or your own full-blown version.

11480001 -

BTW: thanks for providing the link to YouTube. I rarely use their service but it is an excellent source for a wide range of videos, some very bad and others very good... it'll also save a bunch of people $6.95! But, I'm still glad I bought the disc.

One more thing - I'm not here to champion Dames or his predictions. I was just providing a review of the DVD.
