Twin Flames - Another of Life's Little Scams
I'm learning to loathe the entire 'twin flame' concept and seriously doubt it's validity, after being conned into it by a clever little scam artist who does nothing more in life than spend almost 24/7 playing online DnD games (Dungeons and Dragons, for those not familiar with the term).

Blissfully unaware of the concept, I met a guy (30 years my junior) who, from the very start, was insistent that I was "the other half of his soul" and pursued me relentlessly. (the very thought of dating younger males has always been the biggest, most revolting turn-off for me, before anyone accuses me of being a 'cougar'.)

Naturally, the age difference freaked me out, not to mention the bizarre intensity of emotions combined with the strange ability to 'sense' each other.

I actually had to do some research on the subject to understand it, because it wasn't something I was familiar with.

Anyway, long story short, after 2 years, he suddenly dumped me, refusing to actually tell me point blank that 'it's over' and instead, giving me this lame excuse of, "every time I try to reach out to you, I end up hurting you". *yawn*

Oh yes, and he moved in with a female emo-goth-head-shrink wannabe, which is more than likely the real truth behind the entire matter.

After being in the most intense emotional pain of my life for the last several months (I've already had more than my fair share in this joy-forsaken life), I've reached breaking point.

Frankly, I think the whole concept is just that: a concept, fiction, invented by some psychotic woman with too much time on her hands, with absolutely no basis in fact, truth or reality, and that he was nothing more than the average 20-something, playing females like a fiddle in order to masturbate his ego, no matter how 'super-spiritual' he touts himself as being.

Fed up with reading about 'oh, but the soul must suffer in order to grow' crap and fed up entirely with the male species and their ability to spin webs of lies and deceit - and for what, for pity sake?!

I have reached the conclusion that there are no such critters as twin flames, soul mates or even 'soul groups'.

There's nothing but the reality of lies, pain, suffering and delusions.

Any form of love is just hormones at work, at any age.

Yes, the Twin Flame concept is a lie.

Your twin flame is spiritual. UP ABOVE. All the Saints knew this.

AS ABOVE SO BELOW

Your twin flame is just that, a flame, a fire, a spirit. its not someone in the flesh.

Re: Twin Flames - Another of Life's Little Scams
Sorry for what you have had to go through, OP. Wish I could provide more insight. I have experienced the strangeness that is the twin flame/soulmate connection. The ability to sense/feel each other, etc. I don't know what the story is with your ex partner, but I personally believe that sometimes the emotions are so strong that it is almost impossible to deal with. Instead of having a relationship that goes from 4-6 on a scale of 10, these can go from 1-11. Extremes in good and bad.

Maybe you should have a frank discussion with this guy, at least to know whether he was playing you or if you had something special. At least for your own spiritual and mental health's sake.

Re: Twin Flames - Another of Life's Little Scams
Hi
Thanks so much for your honesty. I guess some things we will never know until this world ends and we get all the answers to all these questions - there is no way to prove this to be true or false sadly. All I know is I have experienced many many connections with people. Some I have no doubt know my soul. Too many freaky things have happened to me to doubt that we are all connected in some way. And some more than others. However, our beautiful souls are in this human body and so all bets of what should be are out the window. It is very hard to take sometimes. But for your best human experience try to keep an open mind. Even twin souls get spooked or tempted that something is better. after all your going through eternity with someone (thats the concept) wth would you want to hang out with them so much in an earth life?? Sounds boring!! Maybe they are just meant to be another experience - just to stop by for a period of time - and then go just to remind us we are connected. Only you know if what you felt was real or not. Hope by now you are feeling better emotionally.
