Greed is never good and it is corrosive on society...and on the marketplace. Nothing wrong with legit trading though. Now get out of my office. Listen to Gekko's speech at the stockholder's meeting in the original film. A classic. Will post when I get a chance. Quoting: measuredjustice 503869 No, not even MODERATE greed is good. Greed is bad, no matter how you paint it. The reason we have a society is because we are all supposed to work for each other and take care of each other. The reason we have a government is because government is supposed to protect its people. Government is not supposed to protect a neoliberal market, or mega corporations, but its people. The moment a government stops protecting its people and implementing neoliberal policies, protecting corporations that have offshore bank accounts, reasoning that offshoring jobs is good, etc., is the moment that said government needs to be toppled and replaced with a new one. If enough people realized that both Democrats and Republicans have the same corporatist agenda, and voted 3rd party, we would be in a much better place. |

True, but it's hard to get there when the plutocrats own the MSM. We have at least 100 million people in this country that are so brainwashed by the MSM, that they think they're NOT brainwashed. They actually think our economic problems are liberal/conservative or Democrat/Republican in nature, not a plutocractic problem. |
