Wyoming narrowly defeats measure to prepare for apocalypse
CODY, Wyoming - In a sign of rising consumer confidence prevailing over go-it-alone pessimism in the Cowboy State, Wyoming lawmakers on Tuesday narrowly defeated a "doomsday bill" to help the state prepare for a total collapse of the U.S. government and economy.
The bill, rejected on a 30-27 vote by the state House of Representatives, would have allocated $16,000 for a panel of legislators and emergency managers to study various measures, including a new state-issued currency, for handling a range of apocalyptic scenarios.

16,000$ would barely cover their lunch bill anyway.

Re: Wyoming narrowly defeats measure to prepare for apocalypse
So much for hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Had sad we have so many closed minded politicians. The other thing is they need to add to the bill a independent oversight comitte made up of Wyoming citizens elected by the people with a 3 year term to serve. When I say serve, this means they serve for free. If this is not added as the bill reads that it could become take all rights away from the people and under Government Control. Notice home land security is involved...
