green light in falling from the sky

No but I saw something similar a few years ago. while researching it I found out copper burns green. Space junk?

I saw this as well as my friend that was with me. VERY bright green light.. about the size of the moon in comparison from where I'm at.

yeah i've seen this like 6 years ago. what was weird is that it looked like a neon green, a color i didn't suspect for a shooting star. kinda far out. it lit up the top of the trees and was big too. i thought it was going to hit, but i guess it didn't. shit like this happens all the time. cool tho.

The sky lit up with 2 green flashes on my way home from work tonight around 930 pm. I'm in MN. were having heavy rain/ sleet right now. Thought it was lightening or a transformer til I saw this post.

Anyone else on the boards happen to see it? It was an amazing sight for sure.

Did it "feel" to those who saw it, did it feel like it was just a meteor, or something else?

About an hour or so ago, my boyfriend went outside and looked up at the clear sky, and saw the alignment of the moon with Venus and either another planet or star that were all lined up.

The bottom one closest to the horizon is very large, the one between it and the moon was smaller but still very visible.

As he looked up at the sky, he saw a light beamm come from the second smaller star shoot straight at the moon. He's not the type to make this up and has been freaked since he saw it and is now laying down.

I'm going to keep checking to see if it will show again.

I'd sure like to know what that could have been.

We're in Alaska.

I'm in the New England area and I was just amazed to see the size and color.. It was a green kinda like copper burning but duller. There was no sound but I saw a few flashes(similar to heat lightning but stretched the skyline) and a bit of fire trail before it went past the tree line... I didn't hear an impact or feel one either.

Comparative to my position.. the objects light appeared as large as the moon and its ambient light glowing in the clouds.. In relation, that is the best way I can state the size/brightness of this object falling viewed from the place I was standing.

I saw something Verrry similar tonight! Near the moon, which I notices because it had a strangely colored orange glow around it, a saw a white beam/flash that from my perspective was about an inch long. I couldnt tell where it came from, but it was below the moon, shooting towards it (upward) and it only lasted a second. I thought it was just from being tired, i really didnt think I saw what I did. Wow! This would have been around 11:00 pm est. I am in Michigan>

I saw an amazing Green/Orange Fireball Meteor myself a few Months back,South-West UK.

I have also since then seen a number of other smaller Fireballs and 'Shooting Stars'.

I watch the Skies alot..I have not seen this much action before,the last time before then that I had witnessed a similar Green/Orange Fireball was in around 1998.

I saw the same! 15 years ago. i was not alone my girlfriend was with me and she saw it too. Exactly as you described it.

What I saw was definitely not the Aurora

I have seen one that was red. It was weaving to and fro, and looked as if made of plasma. Seemed intelligently flown, and my gut reaction to it was that it was not friendly.

The object I saw moved much too fast and in the same trajectory for the time I could see it. It was maybe 1.5 seconds visually I could. I would assume its a meteor or something of that sort. But it was awesome to see it light up the sky.

Outside Kansas City here, just seen a meteor (or something) fall in SE sky about 5 minutes ago. It was whiteish and look to be coming straight down, I could see it through the tree line, may have hit.

My girlfriend and I saw the same thing last night it looked like a blue giant laser beam that was huge and then turned into a giant fire ball that went into the trees with no sound whatsoever ... This was extremely fast and very big if it was a meteor wouldn't we hear it impact or atleast feel it??

Yes! I was out back facing east. I saw a bright white ball falling directly down. No angle at all. Straight down. It was the largest thing Ive ever seen in the sky! I also listened for a bang or vibration. But no indication of its impact. Is that what you saw?[youtube]

I've just seen a bright neon green thing shoot like a shooting star in the East from my garden in Sussex, England. It was amazing. Had a short green tail, shot in a stright line downwards at an angle (like 7.30 angle) and disepeared before the ground. It was 1.15 in the morning. I've read if it's that quick it's not a meteor.

witnesses called emergency services as they had the appearance of green distress flares.

Tonight in Hawaii on the island of Molokai at 12:am i was coming off the beach with no moon and looking down trying to make my way in the dark when the ground beneathe me lite up like a huge flash light was above me. When i looked up it was a bright green color and turqoise and then a sea blue that darted at a angel just above the trees. It made no sound but a minute later i heard a rumble but that seemed to long after to have come from this silent object/light thingy..Loved it

At around 12:37A.M. I saw a green ball of light about 3/4 the size of the moon fall towards the ground. The sky around the object was glowing green and the glow seemed to get bigger the closer the object got to the ground. I lost sight of the object behind some trees and am sure it made it all the way to the ground. It was falling at the speed of a asteroid. I would guess the object landed no more then 30 miles away yet I heard no impact sound.
