where do you think the safest place in America SHTF ? My wife and I can work and live anywhere

Anywhere where there is high ground (Look at the Cayce or Scallion future maps) adequate rain or river, lakes.

Absolutely nowhere urban due to the high likelihood of extreme violence.

Nowhere where there is much middle class/ wealthy people because these people will not be able to deal with hardship very well and will lash out more easily whereas poor people have been 'hardened' so to speak, and will be much less likely to kill themselves or others. These people are more likely to have connections compared to insulated suburbanites and are more likely not to kill to get their way.

Nowhere near nuclear power plants or significant military bases.

Have enough fuel and weapons, a mobile home that looks poor on the outside is most ideal in case you have to flee possible marauders, and to avoid becoming thief magnets.

Buddy up with other survivors as much you can, and make it a point to pool your resources with others. There is strength in numbers.

It can start at home in a house, apartment, trailer, tent- find out if there are other like-minded people in your neighbourhood who are interested in surviving.

Central Oregon would also be good. They are giving houses away since the conomic crisis.

Missouri Ozarks and northeastern Oklahoma should be worth a serious look

Away from chemical plants too. Also..be careful in national forests. A lot of people plan to bug out there

What do you and your wife do for a living that allows you to live anywhere? Wish I had that luxury!

Tajique NM. Out in the wilderness about 6800 ft altitude and 50 miles from Albuquerque, very defensible terrain /
