Nothingness is the only thing that doesn't change, therefore the only thing that is real. Everything else is just illusion as everything else changes. Here for a time, gone the next. Meditation will lead to these Realizations. When you halt thought, the doorway to nothingness/heaven opens. |

Mind always wants something because that is its nature. The trick is to give it the Supreme Something to ideate on. The Supreme Something is that Cosmic Nucleus which we are all trying to move toward. To create nothing in the mind is against the very construct of the mind itself. The reason that some people are attracted to the nothingness approach is that they are afraid to surrender to that Supreme Entity. The idea of surrender to a higher entity is threatening to the ego of many people, so replacing that with nothing is the less threatening method. I have seen it for many decades of involvement with people seeking higher consciousness and when nothing is the object, nothing is usually the result. |

You seem to be confusing Nothingness with a dry void. Nothingness is full. Nothingness is all. What you realize when you realize Nothingness is that God is not a persona or higher entity. Higher than the ego, yes. But there truly are no levels. All is God. God is all. Only when there is an ego is there a God. When there is no ego, there is No God. God is Everything. God is Nothingness and Everythingness. Words lead one astray. That is why silence is the key. That is why meditation leads to Realization. |

There is no such thing as a dry void in the universe. Every corner is filled with the effulgence of the Divine. Don't confound people with semantics. The mind always takes the shape of its object of ideation. Ideate only on the Supreme Cosmic Nucleus. Love is all there is. Embody that love. Do good for all for as long as you can in this life. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13690636 Ramana is the symbol for peace and light and "nothingness". :) hmmm Thread: The Necessity of Nothingness .. the seven basic certitudes _____________________________________ Even the structure of the atom has been found by the mind. Therefore the mind is subtler than the atom. That which is behind the mind, namely the individual soul, is subtler than the mind. -Ramana |
