The answer is an emphatic NO!
I think most of you have been brainwashed by too many science fiction tales.
Consciousness requires life. Computers are dead. No amount of processing power or huge databases or networking will give it life.
Consider a newborn with a totally blank mind of knowledge or life experiences. Yet it is conscious and sentient.

Your human ego might not like the idea of other non-human and yes non-biological life forms, especially if in some ways they may be superior to human, but that does not mean they do not exist. And as to the science-fiction of today, sometimes it is the history of the future - or at least the potential of the future. -
