I know that what you are going through is very difficult - the others here don't seem to understand the pain you feel. I can definitely relate to your loneliness...if it cheers you up any, know that I care about you. The fact that you have schizophrenia doesn't scare me away; nor does your impotency make me want to laugh at you...all I want to do is hold you close and tell you that things will be ok.

Hang in there, tony - behind every dark raincloud is the happy sunlight...things will get better for you. And think of it this way: the fact that you're different doesn't make you something bad, it makes you a truly wonderful and unique person!

Go to the pound and get a dog. You will meet lots of nice people dog walking and the fresh air and exercise will do you good.

Plus the dog will keep you company and you won't feel lonely any more.

Sex is not everything.

Many women would be happy to just have someone special in their lives. You can spice things up in other ways.

I second this, please Google misandry bubble and see my thread on women being incapable of love. I have no interest in sex and can tell you that you are missing nothing except STDs. Everyone I know who had sex ruined their lives.

OP, so are you on any medications now? Have you been to other doctors? It just seems there is someway to fix your condition.

Even if your nerves "are fried" it would seem they can be healed.

If you follow the good advice of healing suggested by another poster be careful of some "health foods". Stay away from soy milk, etc. as soy milk affects men differently than women. I'm all for health foods but some are deceiving. Do your own research on a good diet for healing. Lay off all drugs & alcohol for awhile.

Don't give up. You matter and you are important. If parties/clubs, etc. make you anxious there are other ways to socialise. Try parks, sports, libraries, church, hobby clubs linked to a hobby you enjoy. Heck, try volunteering. You'll probably meet some nice girls volunteering. Don't let yourself fade away. Get out there.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life. Tonight write down a plan & implement them tomorrow.

Tony, I can remember even in my 30's going through long periods between girlfriends and not feeling capable as well. Some men, including myself are just not inclined to objectify this experience. When I did run into relationships where we shared a respect and mutual understanding, those issues magically disappeared. Now at nearly 62, Ive been in a wonderful relationship for 11 years and still have a great sex life with no need for the usual enhancers.
Don't give up. I have also had friends go through this experience and regardless what the Doctors tell you, there are solutions. There are also new medicines on the horizon that no longer have the side affects that you describe.
