Yeah, our TSA agents are particularly retarded.
A couple of years ago, I was flying with my daughter to Oahu for emergency surgery. She had had almost her entire skull removed already and had developed a scalp infection which created a fairly large opening directly to her brain. Obviously, she had a bandage on her head. TSA immediately whisked her aside and without gloves or any explaination, began trying to remove her bandages! (They later said they were checking for hidden explosives) I was told afterwards that they were coming up behind me with a taser because I was telling them to STOP! BTW - at the time, my daughter was 17, very petite (looked 12) with blonde hair and green eyes - you know, the real shifty Arab terrorist type.

I'm no doctor, but why would you let your child leave the hospital without her skull? Kinda horrifying if it's true, but DAMN. I'm not leaving the hospital without MY skull. And I'm sure as hell not going through a TSA checkpoint without it. Not that I go through them anyway. I have been boycotting air travel since shortly before the inception of the TSA. Her brain injury was so severe that in order to save her life, they had to do a double craniotomy. They later replaced her skull but she subsequently developed infections - to date, she has had 11 cranial surgeries and 3 skull replacements, none of which worked. That is why she is still living without a skull - she has about an inch wide strip down the center and the back but both sides and forehead are gone.
