Damascus is what I have been keeping an eye on lately.
I just wish we made more reliable and truthful news reporting.

God is going to punish America and Damascus. He is going to wipe those two countries in a blink of an eye.

With Damascus, I would guess that the first thing we'll notice is their internet connections go down. All of them. Not even Sat service into the area (the kind the BBC Reporters are famous for using) will continue, because no one is there and still living. The BBC and other reporters who were on the ground when the destruction hits are going to be destroyed along with the rest of the residents. Those delivered out of Damascus will be taken out of there by miraculous and divine intervention and nothing else.

Then the next or simulaneous thing will be that commercial pilots will report that the transponders for Damascus airports are not broadcasting any longer. Autopilots set to land there, will all revert to manual operation and force their pilots to pick other locations. To navigation systems, it will suddenly seem as though Damascus is no longer a valid destination on any map they can access. While the longitude and latitude still exist, it will soon become obvious that there is no longer any city (old or new) at those coordinates.

Both of the above will be known within the first two hours and then aircraft will be in the air above the area where Damascus has been for over 3000 years, and as the sun rises, they will be able to visually see that Damascus is no more. Those reports should reach us by dawn on the day after Damascus is destroyed in the night.

The reports of the total destruction will pour in for days to come. The land itself may or may not be radioactive. I rather imagine it will be due to the biblical prophecy about "never to be in habited again" which leads me to believe that the method of destruction is nuclear to some extent and renders the very soil poison for many decades after...
