Do you have any suggestions (for those who are prepping) on items needed that may have been overlooked? I mean, more specific than the common items?

I recently realized after having a reaction with some new makeup that I bought -- that I don't have any eye care products (saline, eye wash, drops, etc) in my medical box. So I will be remedying that.

If you are worried about makeup, you're prepared. ;)

You have mail.

In response to the quote above yours... I cannot stress how important the escape plan is... You don't want to be trapped in a heavily populated area with no way out.

Common sense preparedness will take it from there.

Water is going to be one of the most important items, food and general supplies, enough to last for a few weeks or longer would be advised from there.

Its not that I am 'worried' about makeup -- its that I made a promise to my husband that I would continue stocking whatever I felt I needed to, but I wouldn't go all complete doomer on him because he needs a little hope.

He's right, so I decided I am going to keep on with my lifestyle (our lifestyle, really) of trying to be awake and a little bit prepared, but also to remember that doom can come at any time, so sitting around waiting for it to happen is pointless when the rest of life is still worth living.

No, I won't prepare.

What is the point of surviving in a chaotic world?

I don't want to survive. If doom comes, I just want to have some vodkas and die completely drunk.

The threats will likely be chemical and biological... Stay alert, aware and up to the moment on current events!

OP... R U here today?

Question - if the above is true, won't those weapons eventually make their way into our water and air?

If that's the case, my guess is it doesn't matter if you are in a quarantine area or not.

Good luck to all of us.
 Quoting: TenStar'd

I am on today, see my previous posts... I'll only be online for a brief time.

The weapons they plan to use are not going to contaminate the water supplies or the air (unless you are near the infected)

Don't hesitate, prepare NOW, what have you to lose regardless of the outcome... Everyone should prepare for these scenarios, it's plain common sense.

Don't be among the left behind, or find yourself trapped in a quarantined zone.

Put your faith in God, not guns and bunkers and shit.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5511984

Yeah! Like Noah! Don't stock up or build a boat or anything...

...idiot. Do you think God wants you to just not stock up or build a bunker or get some protection and totally rely on him?

I'll tell you what. I'll have faith in God, build a bunker and stock food guns and ammo and pray for you.

YOu know, its no wonder some people think Christians are cop outs. BECAUSE THEY ARE!

I'll stock all the food I can, all the guns I can and build the best bunker I can, but, in the end, realize that is not what I have faith in or what will save me.

God helps those who helps themselves. Put your faith in God and pray that he will guide you in wisdom to use your guns and bunker and supplies so that you may survive to continue to praise Him.

The Creator loves you but he will let you fail, even if you're dumb enough to be religiously irresponsible.

Faith in God without believing what Jesus said?

King James Version (KJV)
Matthew 6:25
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Matthew 6:28
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Matthew 6:31
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof

O.K. - If someone were to put together a bugout bag for a car to enable them to get out of an area if need be by foot ... what would they put in it?...

I know there's a mask that needs to be a certain type, I knew when the swine flu was "around" a few years ago, I can't remember now... anyone know?

What else should be in the bag... just to get someone out
of a city environment that they work or go to school in to get home "safe" not to camp out or stay in the woods a few days... just to get someone home!?!?

Let's do some brainstorming!

Re: Welcome to the beginning of the end
Ok. Last night I went to a local gun store to pick up a weopon for my brother. When I was about to leave, I noticed a yound crew cut guy come in and I instantly knew that he was at least former military.

He was asking questions to the store owner about whether a snub nose 38 would make a good ancle gun. Now I was curious. Why would a young man around 25 need such a thing. He was clearly carrying at least a 9mm on his side.

I got into the conversation and told him it would make a fine ancle gun. It has 5 rounds and nothing to snag it on something. Just point and shoot.

So I wanted to feel him out more so I told him that I was a prepper and that I feel that the shiite will hit the fan soon.

He was amazed that there were any preppers near him. He said that he wasn't into it much at the time and that he went to a particular site to see some things but it didn't register with him. Until....

He mentioned how he saw some people commenting on the site how National Guard (NG) members took weopons from civilians after Katrina hit in New Orleans. I reminded him of some disturbing comments that I saw from some of those same people and how women were getting raped by the police of all people.

At that time I reminded him of his oath that he took when he joined the military services and that they are not words for me even now when I am out. I have sworn to protect this contry from enemies both foreign and domestic.

Then he got to why he was looking for an ancle weopon. He said that he is a NG member stationed in the city I was in. That there is a heavy military presence building up. His little NG unit received 10 APCs. Every time units go out they are fully equipped.

I told him then that as long as I was in and even in the Regan years, I haven't seen so much being displayed, a show of force. He replied that he was given, not issued, his own riot gear. Each member of his unit were given this.

I then said that there are thing coming down the pike around in November that would warrant the readiness. Then he perked up and said that yeah, the latest orders were to expect rioting around the elections, maybe race related.

Well, I told him that coulsd be a possibility or it could be a smoke screen. I said that I believe that an economic crash is likely to happen soon with the following: some natural disaster, food, water shortage, a pandemic, and maybe a pole shift.

So we started to talk about each others preps and found out that his friends are so worried that one guy in particular buys a rifle and a hand gun for each new friend that they make. He keeps it for them in case they need to come together.

Also, he said that they are doing much more riot control training than they ever did before. The ptb are even doing secret polls to find out such things like 25% or more of the police force will not be available when the SHTF because they will stay with family.

We traded info and I will stay in contact with him. But just think, a NG member is so afraid of what is coming in November that he was looking to buy an ankle gun?! That he wasn't a prepper until he started to receive orders that corresponds to other types of conspiracies he has heard of?!

Please prep as much as you can. One thing. If you are going to hole up at your house get 1 inch plyboard and cut to fit your windows, sliding glass doors, etc. That will help you to secure your household and be one less thing to watch for.

God Bless

Instead of liquid bleach, get 78% pool shock that does not have any thing else in it. It might say filler which is okay. 1lb back lasts forever, will disinfect 20,000 gals of water (if memory serves me - it doesn't always). Filter water, boil it, then add two drops of water if clean, 1 teaspoon if dirty. Shake and let sit for 30 mins. If water is still cloudy, repeat bleach until clean. To remove chlorine smell pour back and forth between two clean containers, or just leave uncapped overnight. Google/search how to do this, and keep in your BOB, BOV, BOL and in your home with your preps.

Clean safe drinking water is a most and everyone should know several ways to make water pure and safe. Google/search
1) sand filter for water
2) easy distilling of water
3) solar water still

Great Info. - Will search around Walmart and/or K-Mart to see if there's any Pool Shock left... I think it's been packed up and replaced with Back To School & Halloween tho, if I can't find any I'll check the place Tandym gave!

I'll also be Googling the 3 above.

Thanks! hf

Here is a cool blog on how to prep for one person for a year for $200. This was written a year a go and probably closer to $300 now. [link to givemetheinfo.com]

Just wanted to say thank you, you had reposted the pool bleach for me on the other thread. We ordered a couple of pounds and tested it out. It worked fantastic.

Re: Welcome to the beginning of the end

Let's do some brainstorming!
hmm

Thanks!

Re: Welcome to the beginning of the end
No, I won't prepare.

What is the point of surviving in a chaotic world?

I don't want to survive. If doom comes, I just want to have some vodkas and die completely drunk.

Stocking up on vodka actually makes you guys preppers! You now need to determine what brand or price range, just how long a shelf life, how many bottle/s do you need to be able to die drunk? Are you drinking this stuff straight or do you need mixers? Are you getting drunk alone or do you need to stock extras for family and or friends? Do they drink vodka or something else?

No matter which way you look at it, you guys may think that when the 'end' or 'doom' comes you just want to die drunk, but as I have just shown YOU STILL NEED TO PREPARE!!

lmao cheers
