Can we have an honest and open discussion about mainstream African American culture? Without calling everyone a racist?
Do you think that African American isolationism is helpful in bringing about equality? Having a black history month, black entertainment television, black Christmas, black democratic caucus, NAACP, colleges for blacks, etc etc.... doesn't exactly demonstrate that blacks want to be an equal part of an equal society.
You can't demand equality in society yet turn around and try to be separate from that same society, or expect to play by a different set of rules than everyone else. It doesn't work that way.
Second, when is the African American culture in America going to take responsibility for their own actions and failings? At what point will it be acceptable to point out that gangsta rap, which glorifies crime and the immorality that plagues their youth today, might not be the best guidebook for them? Or that it isn't whitey holding them back when nearly 50% of black youths drop out of high school - Not fail, but DROP OUT. That isn't whitey's fault, folks.
