USGS updated the San Francisco Quake.

First was a 2.9 followed 7 secs later by a larger 4.0

Clear indication the fault there is unstable.

A small disturbance can trigger a larger quake.

i have only recently been looking into these fault lines

with a 4.0 in san francsico it doesnt seem like much, but it is certainly enough to throw off day-to-day normal activities.
