Saw an interesting documentary on the moon on Discovery a couple of years ago. The moon is pulling back from the earth 14 inches per year. They showed how close the moon was in 1 BC and now. No wonder the ancients worshipped the moon! It was right there! The documentary also told of the problems we would start having with tides, etc. because of the moon pulling back... |

Well, If you put it into simple electric/elctronic/atom theory...that "could" answer you´re whole question. Keeping it simple...in these terms as follows: Like charges "repel" and unlike charges "attract". So, as the earth is spinning, could the earth be building-up a greater "unlike" charge from the moon? Thus, pushing it farther away year after year? |
