Hendrix is overrated? Dude, they should be teaching his stuff in school hahahah
Definitely not the best technically able musician but there's nothin' like da man's music to take you on a trip and heal ya.
For me he's number 1 in a way that they should remove number 1 from all charts. Only nº2 and so on heheheh

you're Welcome!
We get the powers over us that we've earned collectively. Humanity, as a whole, is self-interested, shallow, ignorant, violent and immoral; small wonder, therefore, that our leaders (secret or otherwise) reflect that. You want better leaders, become better people.

I forgive myself, I Love myself, I'm sorry, Please forgive me, I forgive you, I love you, Thank you.

God Bless You;
I Bless You;
Bless Yourself(~).

Love is the answer ~ Peace be with You.

BTW - Hendrix was into the occult - i'm beginning to learn this after listening to his music for 30 yrs!!!

Dammit i don't have the link but someone on glp in a hendrix thread posted a site that de-coded some of Hendrix's lyrics and interviews etc.

Hendrix had many 'visionary' experiences IMO and it came through in his music.

What a LEGEND!!!

(he could never be over-rated IMO!)

Compare him to 'Crapton'....i mean....c'mon....;-)

Wow, thank you for the kind comments. I think anyone that sets his/her mind into it can pick up a guitar and make something nice out of it. Persistence is key, so what'cha waitin' for to play some jams with your man? Anyway, Keep him rockin' blobr

Here's a nice example of a female blues guitarrist

The occult part has been mentioned in this thread.

Crapton has some good sounds, although nothing nearly as soulful as our friend Jimi. I enjoy very much his "Cream" years. Posted here some songs from that band. But listen to this:

you probably mean 1970, Hendrix was dead by 71. anyhow he was really seasoned as a player by that period, rhythm and lead guitar were seemingly one for him, he would paint his lyrics on his guitar out loud. you're really lucky to have seen him before he passed under strange circumstances; asphyxiated in red wine with no blood-alcohol content present. factor in the Vesperex pills, the lying German blonde and the fact they were in London, who knows what went down.

By the way, if someone can identify where the last one (Red House) was performed, I would be much appreciated. Cheers

May 30th 1970 Memorial Day
Berkeley, California
1st of two 10+ song sets

some of its available on video but not Red House...Hear My Train Comin Blues is though, and it's pretty incredible, despite being edited. the Sony fucks removed these videos from YouTube though thanks to Janie Jinka "Hendrix", the child ADOPTED by Al Hendrix long after Jimi's Mom Lucille passed. in his old age he had a relationship with a Japanese woman and some tone deaf spoiled kid is sitting on the whole estate trying to milk every concert.

michael fairchild also wrote a book called Rock Prophecy. it completely changed my understanding of who and what this "person" was, who was called Jimi Hendrix.
