I can understand your worries , I too have been taken by people professing they are " christens " , for thousands of dollars. No one HAS TO (or even CAN) "create" a rapture. There is, to be sure, a "rapture" event, but it is only for the FEW "wise virgins", not the many worldly "Christians" (foolish virgins)!

I consider myself to be a Christian, I have been to a few different churches and it usually the same story... they never talk about the events going on in the world, and it is always a social gathering instead of a place to learn about God and participate in good things for other people.

It is like every church is a community entertainment center these days, which is another sign of the end times and Great Tribulation to come soon!

They also think that the rapture will happen before the Great Tribulation... Think about how many people have "carried the cross" and died in martyrdom for Jesus and the truth of God and loving each other and kindness. Would God rapture us away before it gets bad? probably not, just because we are a technologically advanced civilization compared to many years ago, it DOES NOT exclude us from suffering.

And I don't mean breaking a fingernail, or needing to actually work for a few hours out of the day.

I have tried to prepare myself mentally, with God's help, for what is to come. I pray every day that God helps me to show other people the Truth, because time is running out and satan is being allowed more and more power over this earth.

There are too many sheeple, too many mainstream personality people that just follow follow follow whatever they see and they don't second guess or care about anyone else. Satan grasps them the easiest, because to them they aren't doing anything wrong. But they are, sometimes without knowing it.
