I have practiced Anusara at many levels and with a diverse network of teachers. While not my favorite form of Hatha, the asanas are technically right on in terms of spinal alignment as well as methodology towards reducing the chance of injury during inversions especially.

I am sad at this turn of events in the yoga community. I myself have been a yoga instructor for 16 years and have seen more than my share of guru wanna be's , they are generally fairly transparent.

But in defense of those duped, sometimes the practice of hatha makes you feel so great, and changes your life in emotional and dramatic ways, it is easy to trust where trust is not due. We all want to believe the best in people and it is often hard to identify a charlatan .
