One old man, very old told my parents to take a look at the petraglyphs outside the little town. Indeed many things were scribed on the cliffs.
Men chasing deer but they had four legs like a dog, two arms like a man.
He did not feel they were negative but more of a guardian type. Lots of superstition about cats and cat headed people are found throughout the world, even in places such as Australia where no real cats existed before being introduced.
He mentioned they were most likely attracted to me as I had pure white platinum blonde hair where everyone else had dark hair, including my parents. The cat people had light colored neck fur with dark blonde fur elsewhere.
Very positive and with a sense of power.

The Kinie Ger were the cat people of Australia, they lived their before the Aboriginies arrived along with the Bunyip and Molangaru. Interesting as only Cat-Like marsupials existed in Australia, never true cats.
At one time the physicial plane existed right alongside the spiritual plane, they were one and the same.

The Anti-Deluvian world was much different than this one, and certain things from that world still exist today.

A reason exists that cultures throughout the world have found that Cats, felines, etc were guardians.
The siamese cat, guardians of temples for the buddhist monks.
Same with the ancient egyptians.
Linked with witchcraft during the Christian purge, as always, they deemed the creation as something evil.
If you own a cat you will often notice them looking at things that are not visable to us, the follow them.
What do they see that we cannot?
In folklore and especially pagan folklore before Christianity took over it was thought that cats were half in and half out of this world and the next.

Yes. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It's a sandbox RPG game on PC, PS3 and Xbox. The Khajiit are a feline race that walk and talk on two legs.

Ah! More than a few games have a feline character. Popular creature, and theme.

Same with dragons, but with a more mystical tone.
