I guess the question is: if we're all nuts, why do you care?

Listen, I think what OP is saying has truth to it. I don't know if any of it will actually happen, but the bouncing back and forth of ideas with other GLP members has been interesting and enlightening. I could be wrong, but I really don't think anyone is going to do something stupid like buy a million dollar underground bunker they can't afford just based on OP's words. However, this thread spurred me to stock up on essentials just in case. I was able to do so well within my budget. There are many reasons this is a good idea (even the CDC and FEMA encourage preparedness).

There may or may not be war in the next few days...I have no idea. I've purchased tickets for the auto show this weekend, so we're not going to stay home and crouch in the corner waiting for doom. If it's my time to go, there's not much I can do about it, but if it's not at least I've amassed enough food, water and supplies to keep us going for a while.

So again I ask: why do you care and who are you to tell us there will be no war? If you're actually President Obama I'll hear you out. If not, you know nothing more than the rest of us. We don't need a babysitter.
