The moon, very strange indeed. A number of weeks ago I and my neighbor sat outside as we do often and watched the stars through about midnight. The moon was full and was rising over the opposite (my side) of the valley. As it came up over the mountains but was still below the tree tops (no leaves yet) it moved exactly parallel to the ground for about and hour from left to right along the ridgeline.

Now that was weird enough because it did not rise but traversed palallel to the ground. But then, it started to ascend into the sky at a 45 degree angle from that point on, a change in course as it were! There was no mistaking it the reference points were all unmovable.

Still have no idea what happened but it made me think of the moon in a whole different "light". I would not put much past the orb of the night now...

I have too seen this, but no one would listen to me.

Typically there is a difference in moon rise and set times, but not 3-5 hours from one night to the next. Let me mention this to someone and they look at me as if I have lost my mind. Finally proved it to my DH by showing him the moon rise times on local news station online. Then showed him by making him watch what time it really came up. Nope, this isn't the seasonal wabble effect, this is different but danged if I know why we are seeing this.

Not a spring chick here either, in my 5th decade and a moon watcher for at least 40 of those years if not longer.

As am I. I know what I have seen, I don't need to know why because.....there shall be signs in the heavens...

And I believe.
