Switched from Citalopram to Paxil and Running Fever for Four Days
I was on citalopram for 10 years until it suddenly stopped working. My doc switched me to Paxil four days ago and now I have had cough, congestion and fever since the switch. I am going to call his office tomorrow. I thought maybe some fellow glp nuts might have insight into what is going on.

research natural cures for what ever ails you. balance out your diet, exercise everyday for at least 30 mins. stop intaking any or all toxins, like cigs, alcohol, etc. Take vitamins if your diet is poor. learn to deal with stress if your under any- pray, meditate, hike, paint, whatever floats your boat.

Why are you taking these things if i may ask?

Severe anxiety and ocd. Without citalopram my marriage would have failed. It worked great for years and then I slowly became dysfunctional again.

Exercise, fish-oil and niacin daily, limit sugar intake, get plenty of rest. Say no to big pharma.

or just keep doing what you're doing, w/e

Citalopram for ten years. Atta boy, put that bandaid over your life rather than deal with things. Winning.

Sounds like some sort of withdrawal. Just a guess, though.

At first I thought it was the flu picked up from the doctors office. Now I am worried that the switch destroyed my immune system.

It may have depressed your immune system a bit, leaving you open to some sort of infection.

They had me on it for 6 months, until I got just as depressed on it so I figured why take it ? so I got off of it and low and behold I got over my depression. Maybe your mind and body is telling you its time to get off it and let your body and mind go it alone. If taking this was the only reason your marriage servived, then I would say it isnt worth taking pills over. Time to let it all go.
