THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM EST
THIS EVENING.

RED FLAG warning??? in the winter and spring never happened here before?
Xclass flare??? the X5.4?????

this is odd folks!
plus the temps here are 15 degrees higher then forcasted this morning.
we have had lots of rain the past weeks.

not just in march but after we have had alot of rain.
no talk of draught. this warning even included NYC and my home in brooklyn.
WTF is going on people. next we will here this is normal

The mild and relatively snowless winter is definitely a culprit! Drier, warmer ground I'm sure is helping this fire threat along. Need some soaker storms to come through and decrease the threat.

Even around here near Chicago, during a drought we can get a wildfire here or there. But this early to be talking about grass fires etc.

The one near Detroit is still going pretty well.
