Spirituality is the opposite of religion, religion is a substitute for spirituality. Spirituality is a direct connection to Creator The Most high. Anyone who inflicts pain on others will suffer themself from that pain. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil. |

You must reprogram yourself to forget the concept of past and future, and gain knowledge of who and what you really are. I cannot tell you what you are for it is a journey each must take in thier own way and time by looking, and searching within. I can tell you what you are not: You are not Homo sapien, human, a race, mother, father, brother or sister. You were never born and you can never die. |

I hope thats true, because is sort of comforting that things can never be as bad as we imagine. Better to live for today, than wait for a day that never comes. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1364770 United States 03/07/2012 03:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | these experiences pain and dying are natural parts life and they are also TEMPORARY nothing TO fear if you ask me. seems more like you'd have to convince yourself to be afraid, or maybe if a society/culture conditioned you to be that way. you just gotta remember that at all times. everything comes and goes - happiness, joy, pain, suffering, life, death, whatever. live in the moment right now and let the chaos fly. there's CLEARLY nothing to be afraid of, ever. create a mantra to remind yourself of all of this. some people use things like "this too shall pass" etc. and when the fear pops into your mind, remember it again again, keep doing it until you laugh whenever the old fear replays itself in your head. it might still be there but you won't feed it and it'll just be an old programmed message doing its thing. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 11866219 United States 03/07/2012 04:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It helped me to read books, especially ones where people have either died and come back to tell about it (Dannion Brinkley) or hypnotists who hypnotized a lot of different people and got similar replies (Journey of Souls by Michael Newton is AWESOME). Then a few years ago I actually had a near-death experience and it was so peaceful and warm and loving and joyous that I never ever wanted to come back and even though I'm a mom with children and grandchildren who I would miss, I am now looking forward to someday returning there. Like you, I just don't want too much pain involved but have also read that the soul leaves the body before it gets too intense, and that death is simply a birth into another realm. Watching a woman in labor, or a newborn baby all covered in blood and goo, if you didn't understand what was happening it would look horrifying; same with the death experience so I've read. |

MOnobody User ID: 479466 United States 03/07/2012 04:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why would you want to train yourself to not fear death? Fear of death is a natural reaction. Why do you wish to be a zombie? I will tell you a story that you will not believe. There was a time when I faced certain death. My car was out of control, on two wheels, about to flip over a cliff. Time stopped. I was at peace. I looked at the valley far below and my only thought was what a beautiful place to die. At that moment in time I saw death as a celebration. I saw the shadow of others waiting for me. It was all OK. Better than OK.. it was good. I didn't die. My car did not go over the cliff. Instead it flipped over to its other side and then it dribbled down the road until it righted itself. The driver behind me, who had watched the "accident" mouthed a big "Wow" as he passed. So now... Do I no longer fear death? No, I still do. It was only when death was close that I put my life in the hands of God and found peace. |

Look up the work of Raymond Moody, considered the world's leading expert on the phenomena. Look up the reincarnation story of the boy James Leininger. Go to YouTube and search for I Survived Beyond & Back. a TV show featuring interviews with individuals who were declared medically dead, but later came back to life, and what they experienced & remembered while their physical bodies were, for better words, dead. There is lots of material out there. If you aren't comfortable with more of a faith based approach, I suggest you start be familiarizing yourself with the accounts of people who had near-death experiences. Once you begin to embrace this concept, you will come to the acknowledgement that your current lifetime, is just a brief trip on a much grander journey! The physical body can perish, but the soul/spirit is infinite and can never be destroyed. This process and understanding will not come overnight. It will take time. But you will find that the understandings will completely change your perspective in your current lifetime and put you at much greater ease from the thoughts that otherwise would cause you much stress and anxiety in this current life. Good luck on your journey friend! |

Wreck the economy and any hope for a prosperous future, make it so the welfare class has a better standard of living than the working class, wreck the educational system and give what jobs there are to the unqualified, broadcast pure lies as if it were real news, bomb the crap out of innocent people all over the world so they all hate us, rig all of our elections and dash all hope of ever restoring our Constitutional Republic. Death? Can't be any worse than the current state of affairs. Sign me up for the fucking revolution, just so long as it's not the Marxist 'occu-tard' version which they are promoting. |
