Relationship with Barack ObamaProfessor Derrick Bell personally knew Barack Obama while the future president was studying at Harvard. Mr. Obama personally spoke out in defense of Bell during a strike at Harvard in 1991. A speech of Obama defending professor Bell was released on March 7, 2012. The speech was uncovered by researchers working with the late Andrew Breitbart, a conservative activist. [5]

"All too often these days the heroes of academia make their bones by relentlessly attacking the society in which they flourish, with their "scholarship" consisting of promoting resentment along familiar political lines. It goes for "courage". Per the New York Times obit, Bell "pioneered" something called Critical Race Theory, which infuses reparative race-consciousness into the study of law in America. It's difficult to imagine Bell the Scholar with anything else but the same two or three self-referential tropes on his mind, reheated and re-served repeatedly over the years. How would you like to get this guy teaching a survey course? Bell's children were named for prominent black Communists---Robeson and DuBois---who wholly rejected America after earning fame and prominence here. America needs less, not more, of this particular brand of "courage".

W.E.B. DuBois was a sponsor of the Scientific and Cultural Conference for World Peace which ran from March 25 - 27, 1949 in New York City. It was arranged by a Communist Party USA front organization known as the National Council of the Arts, Sciences, and Professions. The conference was a follow-up to a similar gathering, the strongly anti-America, pro-Soviet World Congress of Intellectuals which was held in Poland, August 25 - 28, 1948.[1]

In 1992 Obama worked for the ACORN offshoot, Project Vote to register black voters in aid of the Senate Campaign of Carol Moseley Braun-who had strong Communist Party USA ties and was Harold Washington's legislative floor leader.

Obama helped Carol Moseley Braun win her Senate seat, then took it over himself in 2004-backed by the same communist/socialist alliance that had elected Washington and Moseley Braun.
