Yes there's a bit of unknown pressure causing strange magnetic anomalies.
It's actually good when it's wrapped around the earth like that though, it's doing it's job by protecting us. Hopefully it'll hold up ok the next couple days.

Meaning whether we want to accept it or not, there is another space body within our solar system that is not only affecting our planet but the rest of our solar system. It's like when you push two magnets together of the same pole, the magnetic field closes in on itself. That's what we've been seeing with our magnetosphere all day.
