Here's some wisdom from an older man:

Women are emotionally unstable by nature. It's caused by their greater sensitivity, and it's a major part of their feminine charm. As a man, your job is to be the unmoving rock in the middle of her raging emotional ocean until it calms down and the sun comes out again. Do this for her, and she'll love you to death for it, she'll be loyal to a fault, and she'll make you sammiches without you even asking.

Many men today react to their woman's emotional outbursts with defensive emotional outbursts of their own. This is (a) immature and unmanly, and (b) completely counterproductive.

A woman can not respect a man who cannot withstand a little emotional mayhem. She needs to be free to go nuts from time to time, and if you go nuts too, then who is going to be her steady rock? Who is going to provide her with a steady shoulder to lean on? Who is going to be her MAN?
