HUGE Changes Coming To Planet Earth
2012 is HERE!

Cosmic Convergence Accelerates Epochal Change On Planet Earth

What happens when an unparalleled Solar Maximium occurs while Pluto is cruising through Capricorn, seismic activity and vulcanism (both undersea and on land) have already seen a dramatic uptick, technospheric breakdown has greatly accelerated, entire species have vacated the planet as whole ecosystems are irreparably destroyed, global climate change appears as global warming, cooling, drought or deluge, and the worldwide financial system is on the verge of collapse, as in a total and complete, irreversible monetary meltdown? Believe it or not, these actual occurrences and various eventualities are the very least of our problems. Here’s why:

There are certain ‘progressive’ developments and converging circumstances which will dictate the course of our future as a planetary civilization and human race – the fifth root race[1] to have inhabited planet Earth since it has revolved around the sun. That which will serve to “accelerate epochal change” like no other major precipitating cause can be summed up as follows:

“When scientific knowledge and applied technology reach a certain level of advancement, without being informed by spiritual truths and guided by moral authority, the current civilization will relinquish its right to continue as it is.” [2]

Truly, the greatest determinant of the immediate future of humanity is the extent to which science and technology – unalloyed to ethical and moral considerations – continue to challenge what has historically fallen within the “domain of the gods”. The ancient Greeks had some very poignant mythical legends which clearly spell out the relevant lesson for humankind concerning the aforementioned prophecy.

Perhaps the story of Icarus, flying too closely to the Sun with his wax wings, is an apt metaphor for the current direction that our civilization is heading in. Certainly it could represent the way humankind has approached so many new and diverse untested technologies, as well as countless scientific applications in use throughout the world. For as long as his story has been told, Icarus has served as a tragic mythological example of hubris and failed ambition.

I believe we have passed that threshhold with nuclear tech. A recent news item illustrates this...

Jaczko: NRC might not meet deadline to impose nuke safety reforms
[link to thehill.com]

[snip]

Jaczko has clashed with his fellow colleagues over how quickly the commission should implement the new rules. Some commissioners have called for a cost-benefit analysis of each recommendation.
Jaczko said Wednesday that he disagreed with the need to conduct such analyses, noting that both the federal task force and NRC staff have said that implementation of the rules should not be affected by cost.

“I believe, consistent with what the staff of the agency has recommended, that these changes are necessary to prevent a Fukushima-type accident,” Jaczko said.

Since when does the safety of citizens require a cost-benefit analysis?

The fish rots from the head down. IMO Chairman Jaczko is the frail voice of reason and in a tenuous situation. He was the lone vote against commissioning new reactors. He is currently under attack by the commission and if he goes we are toast.

It's plain to see the cavalier attitude towards citizens by the call for a cost-benefit analysis of safety change implementation.

They don't really care about our safety. It's a money thing.
The nuclear industry was introduced and propigated under the premis of safety and clean power. The massive buildup of spent fuel and disregard for safety negates anything they might have said in the past.

It is out of control. Any disruption of the power grid will doubtless cause meltdowns, and possibly multiple meltdowns all over the globe.

If they cared at all about the planet they would already be closing out-dated and unsafe plants as we speak.

This is not being done and will not be done as we can see by their response so far.

We are fooked....
