Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleAllan Stevo writes: Conservative Americans DO NOT WANT Mitt Romney. That’s pretty darn obvious. He spends a fortune trying to convince voters, gets a generous amount of media time to express his message, and still can’t seem to inspire the Republican base, even when he’s running against the likes of crooked party hacks Santorum and Gingrich, or against that other guy – the Congressman from Texas who seldom gets mentioned in the media. Against opponents like that, the out-of-touch punditry have long expected that Super Tuesday 2012 would be the coronation of Mitt Romney.

As you read this, Mitt Romney might be sitting somewhere looking over the Super Tuesday returns, saying to himself "Ron Paul’s so into the Constitution that he might follow in this tradition of the adversarial vice president that the founding father’s began." I doubt Ron Paul’s thinking that, but Mitt Romney when listening to Ron Paul speak about Mises and Keynes in those pre-debate green room discussions probably says to himself repeatedly "Is it time to ask him yet?" Because Ron Paul is starting to look like Mitt Romney’s last hope – Romney either becomes VP to Paul, riding the septuagenarian’s coattails for a term before running again himself, or Romney never again gets a chance to become the president.

Unelectable Mitt

The elections of 1976, 1980, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008 have shown that an uninspiring and merely tolerable candidate like Romney fares poorly in general elections, especially when paired against a candidate who knows how to inspire his base.

Re: President Ron Paul. Vice President Mitt Romney 2012
Mitt Romney understands that such a move would help bring unity to a splintered party, and that a Ron Paul candidacy would flank Obama on the wars and civil liberties in the run-up to the election, would eliminate the divisive talk on social issues, and would give Republicans the best chance at a win. It’s time for Mitt Romney to make that phone call to Ron Paul and to tell him that in exchange for being Paul’s vice presidential choice, Ron Paul will get Mitt Romney’s full support.

I’m not sure Ron Paul will accept the offer, but it’s a good place to begin the discussion. [link to www.marketoracle.co.uk]

I like where Rockwell is going with this. Let's just say for the sake of discussion, that there is no rigging going on(in the main election) and TPTB know that Paul is actually dominating right now even though MSM says otherwise. They've got until November to jam Romney down everyones throats in order to get the "anyone but obama" vote. Paul continues his success causing the Paul/Romney ticket to have to be created just to get republicans back in the whitehouse.

Re: President Ron Paul. Vice President Mitt Romney 2012
Republicans, Ron and the Revolution

An excellent piece by the CATO Institute’s Christopher Preble in Foreign Policy:

Paul is not only doing better this year than four years ago, but also better than in any of his other nationwide campaigns…

So, what changed? In short, people’s attitudes toward the country’s wars and their concerns about the country’s debt, which the wars have exacerbated…

Those concerned about government power should also appreciate, as Paul does, that war has almost always led to the expansion of the state’s size and power at home. And he is hardly alone. “War is a friend of the state,” Nobel laureate Milton Friedman explained. “In time of war, government will take powers and do things that it would not ordinarily do.” We have seen this in the creation of new government agencies and the erosion of civil liberties after the 9/11 attacks…

....most of what Americans spend on their military goes to defending foreigners.

Meanwhile, Romney, Rick Santorum, or Newt Gingrich could win the votes of every single registered Republican and still lose the election by a landslide.

Self-identified Republicans represent just 27 percent of the electorate, compared with 31 percent who identify as Democrats and a record-high 40 percent who call themselves independents.

Republicans must figure out a way to tap into those ideas of Paul that have bipartisan appeal…

We had a good turnout for our county convention to vote for 30 Delegates to go on to the State convention.... There was about 180 delegates to show up and about 70% plus were Ron Paul supporters... Have a good feeling that we advanced all RP supporters on to the next level.

I can't stress how important its to become a delegate to the convention and also become alternate delegates.

Some of the precincts had 5 delegates alloted and like only 2 show up as main delegates, so if you can be appointed as an alternate delegate please do so. My wife was an alternate delegate and was placed in as a main delegate.

Even though we had good organization, it was amazing one of my friends precinct won 6 out of the 8 Delegates were RP supporters, but only 2 showed up to vote today!

Please remember if you want to change things become involved in the Party. We picked up a number of board positions. We also had a few Liberty people running for mayors!

If you want change get involved!

IN Liberty!
