When Federation was proposed pre 1901 the Kiwis were invited in but at the last minute reneged for some reason. Perhaps this document was written before Federation and was later amended. And if my history is correct. West Australia pulled out at the last minute also. But obviously signed up a bit latter. Some sort of hangover from this is in play as NZ is a virtual State anyway; In that, we can go live there and vice versa as if indeed it was the same Nation/Commonwealth. Interest factoid as an aside. Virginia in the USA is "The Commonwealth of Virginia" Could be a good thread getting up here OP. Can't wait for all the trans Tasman banter and bludgeoning I'm sure will follow. ;)  |

What a crock. Got news for you. Feudal law was never rescinded. The Queen still rules by Divine Right. By agreement with Parliament. Britain is a Parliamentary Monarchy. The Commonwealth,its people and its assets are Her property. The US Corporation is owned by Her agents, acting on Her behalf. You're property too. NZ IS still a state of Australia ('Queen's Counsel' and Royal Commissions should be a CLUE) Law is a slippery beast and you should always read the fine print. |
