Try making a compass out of a piece of iron wire about a foot long. Hang it level by a thread and focus moving one of the poles. Practice this for about 10 minutes every night for a week while facing east. After a week you should be able to make it spin.

Re: Telekinesis and Dreams
Op,
I was hesistant to reply until I fully read every comment in this thread. I didnt want to be redundant.

But no, you are not alone.
I have had this exact same dream early last year. I was in what appeared to be a one bedroom flat with many shards of broken glass everywhere. I stood in one spot and used telekinesis to move objects in the room. I know the feeling you are describing. It was an easy and 'matter of fact' process that feels as natural as breathing. It only started to feel weird when I became self aware in the dream of what was happening. The experience is extremely vivid and realistic. Almost to the point where the reality and the dream are practically indistinguishable.

I remember waking up not just feeling that I had telekinesis, but knowing that I could do this thing.
I felt like I was being teased by unknown forces because the dream felt more real than my waking moment.

So, I did what any person in this era does, I Googled!

And here is what I found:

Telekinesis

To dream that you are telekinetic represents a higher level of awareness and consciousness. You are not utilizing your full potential and need to start putting your stored energy levels and mental abilities to use. In other words, you need to put your thoughts into action. For some, dreams of telekinetic powers may indicate your latent paranormal abilities

Yeah, I know it's not as exciting as having the power. But, atleast it can give you a glimpse of guidance into what the dream may mean for you. Perhaps, you are spending too much time thinking in your head instead of doing with action.

The truth is, you can shape the reality around you without having to bend the laws of physics. God created gravity on this planet for our benefit. What a chaotic place this would be if we could alter this power at will! Not knocking telekinesis, just saying that it may not be necessary for you to accomplish the goals in your mind's eye.

Hope this helps!
God Bless

Re: Telekinesis and Dreams
I have had that kind of dream a LOT and I have had one experience with telekinesis while awake. It took all day to stare at the object though. The trick is not to try. It happens when you are not trying... It has nothing to do with exerting yourself or MAKING something happen or a force or anything. It has everything to do with NOT trying to do anything at all. Which is hard for us to do... To not try.

Recently, I have been having recurrent dreams, mostly lucid dreams where I can manipulate objects and move them around in space using the power of my mind.

Each time, when I wake up, I am utterly convinced that I now understand how to do it in real life. In these dreams, it' so easy and obvious. But I still can't do it in real life.

Any of you having similar dreams?

Any idea what these dreams mean at all?

I sense that these dreams are teaching me something, long forgotten.

Why is it so easy in the dreams, but so impossible in real life?

It all looks so real and possible...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1387594

I've had that type of dream many times throughout my life. When I wake up I immediately try and focus on an object to move it... of course it never works, then I realize it was all a dream.

It seems so real.

Re: Telekinesis and Dreams
Yeah I have telekinesis dreams too. I think that attention in the 5 senses draws attention away from the psychic ability. Like seeing something in your mind's eye and then automatically shifting attention to your physical eyes as you think sight is through the eyes, then the inner image is gone. I think telekinesis is similarly affected when we shift attention to what our brain normally associates with the physical process of moving things. Not sure that makes sense or is even accurate but it's the best I've got right n ow.

Re: Telekinesis and Dreams
Consider this: There is no absolute provable reality BUT
you live in a world where science and language gives all
sentient human beings in their known world a common perception
of what is real. If you bend this reality or the perception
thereof through a magicians magic trick there is no problem,
there is a simple logical explanation BUT if you change reality through the process of telekinesis it creates a
disturbance in the so called real world that is generally so accepted.

If you develop telekinetic powers consider working on them
and how you might use them. The power is a gift of privileged
few and should not be abused or needlessly exposed to the
ridicule of common knowledge.

I have had theses dreams for years. Have become lucid in several of them, and was being told that it was a portion of the top of both hemispheres of the brain working in unison. Very real. I do seem to have episodes of things falling from shelves and such frequently and wonder if it could be inadvertent telekinesis.

Re: Telekinesis and Dreams
had this one

Before bedtime, I asked a ONE creator let me show the truth and i had a dream that i was on Earth but different Earth. All around me formed by thought. Everything is physically manifested. I saw the negative ones, they formed the bad things (bad bear ,different kinds of birds). And the bad things they somehow returned. They struggle with that. We all creating living form and nonliving form. From the beginning I had to learn a bit.I thought about grass and grass grows in front of me. And i thought about trees and apples and immediately manifested. Even I was created even living beings as a cat or a tiger. There were beings from higher dimensions they were like angels disappeared and appeared again, and knew better manifest thoughts than others.Everything was created by love it was really beautiful everything was literally miracle. Negativity was there but only a small percentage. negativity was formed things on the walls like paintings or different material things. I tried to use love to make these things to turn positive. Then died a small boy I gave him all my energy and he came to life . I have been told that it was all done in 7 density.Interesting vivid dream
I have the same dreams

Re: Telekinesis and Dreams
Hey OP! You are not alone.
For the last several years I have been having lucid dreams where I have been telekinetic. It actually started as a nightmare, and then in the dream I was trained to do it to defeat this ominous force similar to the Never Ending Story's "The Nothing." When the dreams first started I had very limited ability. I could lift very small objects. Over the months as the dreams continued I have gone from lifting Soda cans to know I can lift virtually anything. I can also lift myself which gives me the ability to fly, sometimes -really- fast. The way it was explained to me in my dreams was that we are used to the touch of solid objects. We know the feel of plastic, metal, and wood. In order to manipulate something you must use what i could only describe as "my minds eye" to "feel" something from a distance. My mind must wrap itself around the entire object, feeling every bit of it at once. Once I have encased the object in my minds eye, I can then lift, throw, or move it. For instance, to lift a car I have to be aware of and acknowledge the feeling of the rubber tires, the metal frame, and even the grime on the bottom of the carriage. As soon as I fully "feel" it, I can move it. These dreams have been disturbingly real, and I even sometimes feel like I can do it in real life. One time, my trainer, which is this almost nonexistent entity in my thoughts had me dream of the room I was in and I lifted a soda can. The idea was that I would lift the soda can in my mind as I woke up, and when I was awake, the can in the room would be suspended when I awoke. As I woke up, I swear I saw the can hovering about 6 inches off the shelf. I didn't have my glasses on, so when i turned to grab them to confirm this, I had to break concentration on the can and when i put them on it was sitting there. Still, the identical view from my dreams was eerie. Sometimes I feel like my mind is waking up in a new and sometimes frightening way. Also, using these abilities in my dream can be exhausting. I can only do so much over a period of time, and flying is especially exhausting. I can do it, but if I have to say, fly over the ocean, sometimes my flight speeds will slow, and sometimes I cannot "fly" as much as make huge telekinetic leaps. Anyway. I hope this story makes you feel less alone out there. I really do believe something may be happening to me. I have been having these dreams for over 6 years, and I had one last night, which is why I googled telekinetic dreams and found this post.

Re: Telekinesis and Dreams
Thinking about all this today, I just came up with a bat shit crazy theory...

What if us, humans, are too powerful?

What if the species of this universe have quarantined us and stripped us down from our power because we were a threat to other species in the universe?

What if initially we were able to control reality in a too powerful way?

So, right now, all of us, our species, would be in some kind of jail, or quarantine. And that our mind and bodies were shackled?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1387594

What if we are the fallen angels from the Bible! What if those senses and gifts are part of the 90% of DNA that has been labeled junk. I feel we are evolving each day or you would not be having these dreams about moving objects. I have had dreams where I could fly and move objects as well. Just like you when I try my head starts to tingle and get get tight. Doubt or fear kicks in and I loose the focus.

Who knows. Hopefully if we have a consciousness shift soon we will gather more unique senses. Others are talking about intuition, synchronicity so maybe a few have worked with Telekinesis. I have watched people people use Chi to move certain objects. Good luck and keep trying.

Peace

Think about it.... we only use 5 to 10% of our brains on a conscious level. What if we had access to 100%? Our subconscious can and does access that 100% while we sleep. It's only the conscious mind that holds us back.

There has to be more to this reality than what we commonly accept there is.

I can't accept that this is it. That is all.

I mean, seriously, why would reality be that rigid and inflexible?

It's so boring, if anything.

THAT IS ALL!

This is reality... That a serious lack of imagination right there.

I was about to say the same thing! Reality is so boring and dull. It's like we can't do anything. Is it true that if you have a strong belief about something, it'll come true?

Re: Telekinesis and Dreams
Back in the late 90's I had used a pendulum (a small metal ring with a string tied to it). I did use it a bit for divination purposes, but I also held it and looked at it, concentrating on it to make it move back and forth or rotate (I have given up using it and have repented of doing that).

Then there were times I'd have dreams where I was sitting in a chair, say, in a class room. I would wrap my feet around the legs, then I'd concentrate and I could move the chair forwards, backwards, sideways (and everyone else in the dream was astonished at my ability)... I could move it in whichever lateral direction I willed. And I can only describe the sensation of moving that chair around in my dream as the same (sensation?) when I could move/control the pendulum in real life.

I can recall one dream where I levitated a grain of salt... And I know what you mean when you say it seems so easy in a dream. cool2

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1387594

I had recurring dreams of me being able to fly in dreams.
At first it was just levitating 2 feet above the ground for less than 10 seconds.
Everytime I got such a related dream I can do it better and better and everytime also in more and more crowded places. First time I was alone, second time 2 people, third time 3 people, etc. It occurred to me like 6 times or so now.
Last few times I could fly like mad, it gets easier and easier. Also 1 time I could magnetically pull my body to a certain direction through my hands in some weird manner. Seems to be related to the flying, as flying is related to magnetic fields in some way I think. Pulling and pushing are all related.
My dreams started to occur more frequently too last few years.
Maybe the dream is telling you something as when dreaming the subconscious rules. It could also be that your hidden paranormal power is telekinesis with or without other skills. Usually people have 2 major skills or several minor skills which are often related to each other in some way.
My hidden power is not related to flying in anyway so maybe its telling me something else. Dreams can have real meanings, maybe you should check that out. Recurring dreams are something to watch more closely, thats all I can say.
I don't know much about dream interpretation or anything like that just saying stuff which maybe is of some value to you.

Ow I forgot to mention, my dreams too seem very real. It is possible that you are out of your body and that either you see a subtle plane of reality, or you have a mixed plane of reality which is a blend of the real plane of the subtle energy, which looks like the real world, and the mental plane where what you think manifests as real. At least that is what I think is a possibility, not saying it is so. For more information there is a book called 'Astral Dynamics'.
