Probably my last post on this subject since the teenagers are out in full force. thank you to everyone who shared their story and took my side:) Thank you so much, it really made me feel better.
As for the rest of you, the first thing out of the cop' mouth, was , "alright then, come on down here quick so we can get this over with", he was gruff, rude and nasty and was motioning with his arm for me to hurry it up, as in get down here right this minute! as I was walking out my door and own the steps, he was pissed before he ever even got out of his car and he and I both knew it, he then asked when it happened and when I told him last Monday, he started having a conniption fit, pointing his finger in my face, all the while moving towards me aggressively. He didn't stop, but kept on and on, until I finally said, "I didn't call you for a lecture, can't you just take the report?" and that is when he really went off.
Yes, I interrupted the nice deputy, yes, I was point blank and asked if he could just take the report and hold the lecture (which is his job btw), but that is all I did until he completely went bizzaro and medieval on me.
At that point he decided that I needed to stand there and take whatever shit he handed me, and he was handing me plenty. Yes, I got pretty upset and got upset rather quickly from that point on, with the scene escalating to me using the 'f' word while trying to explain to him that he made all cops look bad. I had what I consider to be a very natural reaction to an abusive situation while standing on my own property and I hope the MFer gets something much worse than what he gave me, I hope and pray that he meets someone who doesn't run a biz, have children, who doesn't have a thing to lose and I hope he meets that mean as a snake person real soon. If he treats them anywhere nearly as badly as he did me, he'll get exactly what he deserves. As for the complaint, since I am obviously just a lowly 'woman', I'm not following through with it, but, I can't stop my husband from doing anything (he was at work when this happened) and since he is also angry as all get out about this, I'm thinking that the guy might hear from him. We'll see. Seriously, why can't we all just be left alone by these guys? Why do they have to make an already bad situation worse? They know when they come out that people might be upset, and yet, this guy did his BEST to make certain that it was a bad experience for both of us. he was aggressive, arrogant, hostile and demeaning. I would hate to be married to him, what a loser. It just seems a shame that we can't trust any of them because we've all had bad experiences, well everyone except one of their own.

You know something though he wouldn't act that way if he were talking to anyone who could do him damage. He sensed your vulnerability and it excited him and made him more aggressive than he would of been otherwise. Of course, I wasn't there but I've observed this dynamic before and I think you may have witnessed it first hand. The wolf or dog pack sees a helpless animal and they become animated and excited. They don't feel the way when they see a group of men they skulk away.

I think you might have hit the nail on the head. he did not treat my brother in law badly when he got there, which was only maybe, 3 minutes or so in, I mean the guy started the second he got out of the car and was ready to arrest me well within 5 minutes, and was turning to do so (get something out of his car?) when my bro in law came up.
I honestly think he became even more enraged when i stood up to him, not aggressively, just matter of factly, and quite frankly a little confused (because he was all about hurrying me up before the lecture started)and put out simply because at that point he was wasting both of our time. I just wanted him to take down the report and he wanted to control me in every way that he could. Hey Brief, do you think he got into ANY trouble at all? Just curious. I guess he wouldn't if it's a bad department to start with, although they did seem eager to take my complaint.
