Can't mix threads or seeds, keep a kosher kitchen, strict marriage guidelines, menstration laws for women.......and it goes on and on and on and on and on. But the reason I asked if you were Jewish, is because of the circumcision thing at your age..and you speeak of the Torah, which usaually only the Jewish read faithfully.May I ask you a personal question? Yes , one cannot learn and keep the Law overnight , God is just after all . It is a life process . All we must do is our best since that is all we can do .

Yes, absolutely! We all will be judged on judgment day! But, what did Jesus say we would be judged on? Read below, it might surprise you. It's clear that we will be judged on the amount of love, grace, mercy, compassion that you showed to others while you were alive. Interesting that Jesus only mentions these things regarding judgment day, and nothing about The OT Law. Why? Because Jesus came with a new covenant. I urge you to study in depth this topic because believe it or not, your salvation does depend on it.

James, brother of Jesus also gave these words in James 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. "

Sad, really. I actually watched a guy waiting for his rapture dining on pork and shellfish. (you would have thought he would have figured out he was on the wrong path but not that I've seen since) Ya, what was that about stiff-necked? Most dyed in the wool christians will fight vehemently against YHVH's will because obeying would take to much work... they get the "crisp trip" for free. The Torah is the Will of Elohiym for all the redeemed.

Because following YHVH's law has been discussed throughout the OT. Yahoshua was telling you to show love... NOT disregard everything YHVH has told you is his will and only "looooooooooovvvvvvvve" everyone no matter what they do. Of course we should love YHVH's children. This has NOTHING to say about throwing YHVH and his will to the wind and doing as you please. Yahoshua would never have been the Messiah had He even stated that. Think hard on that one!

The tablecloth full of unclean food was shown to Peter 3 times and He refused to eat of it:

For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again."

Peter did not eat, he pondered what it meant and later Peter found out what it meant:

Acts 10:(27-29) Entering Cornelius’ house, Peter explains why he came.

"And as he talked with him, he went in and found many who had come together. Then he said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean. Therefore I came without objection as soon as I was sent for. I ask, then, for what reason have you sent for me?”

So Peter understood that the vision was about people as jewish people thought the gentiles were unclean and they should not mingle with them. Now about food there is healthy food and unhealthy food and in the Bible we read that the people eating healthy food looked better and had more wisdom than those eating the "kings food". Any doctor would confirm the same.

The teaching to eat "unclean" exists because of a misunderstanding that has been passed down and is now "tradition." There is no change to the dietary law in the New Testament (NT).
Here is a list of the passages used to defend changing the dietary commands and you can easily see that this traditional teaching is not upheld from Scripture; it is the creation of man.
In Matthew 15:1-20, Jesus is discussing hand washing with Pharisees, not changing non-food into food. Verse 20 makes this clear.
However, men have inserted into many translations:
"(And thus Jesus declared all foods clean.)"
If you check with the original Greek, or even a King James Bible, you will not find this parenthetical clause. Therefore, this is the addition of men, not the instructions of God.

In Acts 10, Peter's vision was about MEN, not food. Jewish tradition was to not enter the home of a gentile because they and their home would be "unclean." The vision of the sheet with unclean items uses the same terminology that Peter uses in verse 28, proving this point:
28) "And he (Peter) said to them (gentiles), 'You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a man who is a jewish to associate with a foreigner or to visit him; and yet God has shown me that I should not call any man unholy or unclean.'"
The whole point of the vision was that gentiles were to be included in the covenant, not to change non-food to food.
1 Timothy 4:1-5 talks about eating what God created to be eaten, and that everything God created to be eaten was good.
The word "food" or "meat" in this passage is the Greek word broma which means:
broma, bro'-mah; food (lit. or fig.), espec. certain allowed or forbidden by the Jewish law. (Strong's definition, broma, #1033).
Paul's warning was that in the last days, teachings would arise that men should not eat what God calls clean, such as chicken or beef or fish, not to turn non-food into food.
Therefore, this passage is talking about eating what is allowed under the dietary commands and avoiding what is forbidden by them.
The bottom line is this: Christians are supposed to be Christlike. If Jesus did it, we do it. If He didn't we don't.
There is no record of Jesus or the disciples ever eating anything unclean. If the dietary commandments had been changed, don't you think God would have given at least ONE example of His Son eating something unclean as an example to us that we could?
Since no such example exists, then this is the teaching of men, not God


Peter is one of the disciples who ate the so called unclean things...

Acts 10:9-17
9About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. 13Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."
14"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."
15The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
16This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.
17While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon's house was and stopped at the gate.

Of course there are those who would argue about the Old an New Covenant etc. But that argument by itself is false! Jesus himself said :

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them" - Matthew 5:17

Haven't eaten pork for YEARS!! I'm actually working on going completely vegetarian now. Some of the articles I read about all meat these days makes me wanna throw up! Pray for me!!

The Bible prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus 11:7-8

"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cup, he is unclean for you".

Christ Jesus cast demons into pigs:

Jesus said he not came for destroy any law:

"Think not that i am come to destroy the LAW, or the PROPHETS. I did not come to destroy, but to Fulfil the law" [Matthew 5:17]

Fulfil means "FULFILLING THE PROPHECY, NOT CHANGING THE OLD TESTAMENT"

"I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, not one letter, not a DOT, will dissappear from the low until all that must happen has happened" [Matthew 5:18]

"Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the SAME will be called least in the kingdom of heaven.." [Matthew 5:19]

Meaning Anyone who breaks the least commandments of God and teaches others for same to do it, then he can not enter heaven.

"..BUT whoever practices and teaches these commands will be Great in the kingdom of heaven" [Matthew 5:19]

And anyone who will follow all the commandments of God, he will be great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

We clearly see in these verses that Jesus did not prohibit for the Old testament to be followed, but only warned his followers to not follow in the way the current religious leaders of the law(the jewish Rabies) were following it.

The food laws have been around since the beginning of time! Even Noah (long before it was written down by Moses) knew which animals were clean and which were unclean because he was told to take the clean by 7's and the unclean by 2's into the ark. The food laws were included in the Book of the Law, but they've been around before that. Same with the 10 Commandments. The 10 commandments have always been part of God's government and character, and He wrote them at Sanai with His own finger in tables of stone. They are distinct and separate and ETERNAL. The ceremonial law was nailed to the cross and abolished when Jesus died, the food laws and 10 commandments still stand.

Me too. The OP obviously is twisting scripture for his own agenda. At the bottem of his pos it says "there are 18 levels of hell, which one are you going to..." Where did that come from? That is not in my Bible either.

I love how people (and especially people who call themselves Christians) think the Old Testament doesn't apply to us today! We are to follow ALL of the Bible, not just the New Testament! Do you all realize that over 50% of the New Testament is direct quotes from the Old Testament? WHAT in the world do ya'll think Jesus and the disciples read? Ummm YES the OLD TESTAMENT!! Please people, wake up! We do not have to keep the ceremonial law (of sacrificing lambs, the feast days, etc that all pointed FORWARD to Jesus because Jesus fulfilled that law and it was nailed to the cross). The food laws were separate and distinct from the beginning, and so were the 10 commandments and they are still binding.

Not originally. But animals were never part of the our original diet. It wasn't until AFTER sin entered that God started allowing animals to be eaten and distinguished between which were clean and which were unclean.

Does OP follow every law of Moses, a man? If not, why choose this law to follow and not the rest? If eating pork makes one a pig, then eating beef makes one a cow, a chicken makes one a chicken, and eating fruit makes one a fruit...
