Reality is a dream, and you are the dreamer.
Welcome to the dream that lasts a lifetime.

You are dreaming right now. Everything you see, including this text is part of that dream. This entire experience, which is your life takes part in a sophisticated dreamworld that you are both creating, and participating in.

Why is this reality a dream?

It has always been a dream. It never changed. What changed is how your perceived the dream, and the beliefs that followed.

To glimpse deeper into this truth that this reality is a dream, one must first see with their own eyes a relationship between dreams and reality.

One such venue of first-person experience exists to lift the veil. Have you ever had deja vu? Have you ever linked the memory to the deja feelings to something you dreamed about days, weeks, months before the on set of deja. Then the veil is lifting.

This is called deja reve, or already dreamed. It is a step towards realizing the grand dream, the big picture dream that is the dreaming Universe. If you are one of these types of dreamers who have these types of experiences. Please acknowledge this in this thread, as it is a very real event.

If it is the truth that you seek, the truth that this is a dream. Then you have found it. You are dreaming.

Forever and for eternity...

What you dream of, creates realities. As it was, as it is and as it will be.

The dreamer awakens.

Re: Reality is a dream, and you are the dreamer.
Do you mean that in some other place I've never been to outside of this existence I am something that is not conscious and dreaming. If not that then why use the word dream? I'm not sure it fits what you're describing.

I see posts like this all the time and with every new one I realise that it's vague and doesn't really mean much. I guess you do get into the topic of deja vu which I do get a lot of the time I also remember dreams nearly every night.

I've never had it happen where a dream I can remember has matched up with deja vu. You say if it happens then the veil is lifting. Wouldn't someone have to have had the veil completely lifted to confirm that which you speak of? If there has been someone what are their thoughts about the whole thing?

Honestly this just seems like another thing that you can talk about but not really prove. I like to talk about theories but when you act like it's more than one shouldn't you have evidence to back it up?

I mean this place right now, is a type of dream. In the literal tense.

Undoubtedly you will find this hard to realize without internal reference points to past dreams and future events. Not everyone comes to such realizations, however there will be those reading this post that have.
Perhaps they will share their views.

I've never had it happen where a dream I can remember has matched up with deja vu. You say if it happens then the veil is lifting. President Abe Lincoln weeks before his assassination dreamed of his death. Author Mark Twain had a dream involving the death of his brother Henry weeks before Henry would die in a riverboat accident with remarkable and uncanny detail in regards to the funeral that followed. British painter David Mandell dreamed three times of planes crashing into the twin towers. In 1996, he painted a picture of such a dream and had it timestamped in a photograph using his bank's clock for reference. German
actress Christine Mylius would send her dreams to Professor Bender at the Institute for Border-line areas of Psychology for archiving. When she would have a dream come true, they would reference it in the archives. Irish aeronautical engineer J. W. Dunne would keep a detailed account of his dreams and using the Scientific Method would investigate his own precognitive dreams.

Honestly this just seems like another thing that you can talk about but not really prove. I like to talk about theories but when you act like it's more than one shouldn't you have evidence to back it up?

the mind is a powerful tool for creating realities. why else would there be such effort toward "mind control" on this planet? if you stop listening to the tv, and stop chasing the carrot that mainstream culture keeps putting in front of you, all that power and energy you've plugged into someone else's dream and reality can instead be used to create something so much better.

"This universe is a mass shared dream that all six-and-a-half billion of us are collaboratively dreaming up into materialization. When we realize this, we can put our lucidity together so that we can co-creatively dream a much more grace-filled universe into incarnation. This is nothing other than an evolutionary quantum leap in human consciousness, unimaginable until now."

You know OP...my dad died 10 years ago and I have seen him in my dreams where he tells me earth is the dream and our present meeting is real. I'm crying because I realize this is true.. I then tell him this awful dream I had about him dying and all the things that happened because of it and he tells me, "but you can see I'm alive and you're alive. It was all a dream, this right now is real". Always so strange when I wake up, I feel like I really saw him.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11867028

No, not over simplifying. It's complicated. Understanding this relationship between dreams and reality is not something that our current culture and scientific direction is aware of.

Reality as an experience is a dreamed of phenomena. Like a scaled up micro-dream that we have during sleep. This is on a Universal and Cosmic scale.

A real "in the mind of God level" of dreaming. In our waking perspective of the world, we have a belief-system and observe the nature of reality from a well-defined context of rules.

Where as one can say reality is objective matter, that is an observed belief. They see the world in an exchange of thermal dynamics, physics, gravity.

Yet at the quantum level, all the physicality of this reality is lost to wave-function and "bits" of information that collapse from superposition into matter.

At this wave-function, reality is much like information waiting to be rendered by a client. The client observes this data, and renders out a view of the data.

This is where it all becomes very interesting. How we "render" reality and "render dreams". The mind, effectively renders both a view of physical reality, and a dream reality.

Let's look at what is common between both the dream, and this physical reality. And we will also acknowledge the differences from a sleeping dream where one can "fly" and this physical dream where gravity and other natural laws filter out this other worldy ability we have in those types of dreams.

Starting at what is similar between sleeping dreams and physical reality is where we see simple fundamental similarities.

[Similarities]

1.) Both of these experiences exists "you/me/us" as an observing self-awareness.
3.) Both dreams and physical reality share geometrical spacial manifolds. They are both 3D environments.
4.) Both Dreams and Reality have sensory feedback. You can see, hear, taste and touch in both dreams and reality.
5.) Space and time present in both states.
6.) Both states are event driven systems that follow a chronological flow of events.
7.) As this self-awareness when we are focused into a dream, or this reality. We often do not know that we are dreaming. Even if the "dream" is the reality we are in. The "reality" that dreams convey makes this so. It at the time just seems too real, until we wake up. Physical reality is in reverse, it seems too real until we fall asleep.
8.) For those who have them, you can observe in first-person during a dream, a future event before it happens. This is called precognition. And many of you have it.

Probably don't understand it. However, you don't need me to tell you that it's there. I'm sure you get the idea by now.

So in this context, we can see more clearly that there is a "relationship" between dreams and reality.

We can see an "event" during a dream rendered in 3D utilizing our sensory awareness. It spans a period of time, and we wake up.

Days, weeks, months this dream comes true and thus relevant to a "present" moment where deja vu is realized (often) and the mind is then focused back to memories. Memories relating to past dreams.

If an "event" in a "future" is first observed in a dream. What came first? The dream, or just that physical future event?

In chronological order of events, the dream came first. As it always does, and always will.

This is because, and I have stated it and will state it again. This physical reality *is* in a literal tense, a "Dream World". Not in a fictitious, fantasy belief.

This is simply a matter of fact. Some of you will realize it, others will not. For those who realize it, there is hope that you can pioneer in this field.

Hope that you can understand the fact that our entire current society is unable to have opportunity to observe and experience this phenomena.

It is in these relationships, the evidence of dreams and reality having a connection becomes literal and fact.

You can argue that this is not a dream, that it's some physical reality. However, there is no true test scientifically that can prove that matter exists at all.

In fact, the more science looks, the more it sees that reality is responding at the quantum level. That information is collapsing from a field of awareness.

That similarities between a virtual reality and this reality unravel the whole belief-system of matter-reality.

Yet both this reality, and the dream reality are of vital importance to what we are as self-awareness. They are both perfectly designed to contrast laws of reality.

It is part of the design, the framework of reality.

Yes... amongst many other things. Suffering doesn't change what reality is. If we suffer in a dream or in reality that doesn't discount either from having realism and an effect on us as an observer.

However, you seem to think that starvation is an argument as to how "Reality" can't be a dream. Because if it was a dream, we could change it. We would make food, and control matter bending it to our every whim.

Well... what kind of reality would that ultimately be? We have in fact bent it, shaped it, twisted it into countless systems and sub-systems. It has been going on in an eternal state of absolutism.

Physical Reality is a strict program... serious business here. Lot's of hardened players getting good at the game. Or lost. It doesn't matter. Everything is as it has been for an Eternity.

You will wake up into a life, wander aimlessly through pondering all the rules that it throws at you. Then that journey ends, you collapse back to where this all started.

It's much bigger then just a "dream" my friend. It is eternal endless awareness moving from one focus state within it's cosmic self, to the next.

Right now, you are that focus state.

I go to sleep at night and I dream that I am floating Mary Poppins style through the air whilst sitting at a table with my aunt Norah eating fresh fruit salad and yoghurt.

When I awaken in the morning it becomes pretty clear that it was just a really cool dream. I don't spend much time trying to work out because it was just a dream.

Well life is like that. when we die we will awaken to the fact that our life was just a dream and give it no more credence.

An oxymoron.

Self is always subjective, never witnessing but experiencing. Awareness without any self is the Witness.

No. There is no space. It´s you who is dreaming and you lie in your bed.

And the chronology gets disrupted many times hence many dreams make no sense after your waking up.

I would say you confuse a lucid dream with the genuine ones.

No, you have said it yourself: the dream is but superposition. For which you have to have something to get laid over, in the first place. That background is unconscious though. Yet aware.

The mind projects holographic images of what the "dreamer" believes.
Unplug yourself from the tv, radio, newspapers etc. or else you continue in this hypnotisation of the world.
You have had your 'reality' hijacked into a mass hypnotisation and you can opt out of it anytime you want to.
Thing is.....it takes time to release the images and beliefs that have been drilled into your psyche.
Release all beliefs and keep in your psyche only things that you know to be true because you yourself experienced them and know them to be true and continue to live moment to moment that is a present (pre-sent).....
Now get going folks and backtrack your way out of this reality!

We could solve world hunger in a snap of our fingers, and it doesn't even take a dream. Just stop spending all this money on war, and have everyone living in the first world make some sacrifices so that there is enough to go around for everyone.

The better question is why do we not do this? Do we not care enough about our fellow humans? Do we not believe in abundance?

Or are we only out for #1?

There is a possibility of discovering a new way of being whereby the collective becomes more relevant and pertinent than the individual, personal little me with its wants and needs.

Saw an interview with a woman who went for sangoma training. She was an Afrikaner and the training is a harsh two year old course with living in river for two months with snakes and all such hardships. When asked what she missed most about her time in the bush she said the simplicity. There was not a television or a radio so at the end of a day, there was simple food and after that around a fire there was communal dancing and singing.

She said nothing that western life offers is as satisfying as that aspect of being that we have sacrificed in our bid for technological satisfaction and nirvana.
