Obviously if you water it enough sugars in it will be perfect medium for yeast and bacteria to grow. then every honey contains a pool of substances collect from the flowers so they retain the qualities of the plants. They are just like natural extract. Usually the active compounds are terpenes. Honey of Eucalipstus, of Lemon or Orange, Tea Tree, Thymus, Mountain etc |

Quoting: Phennommennonn Do you think the bacteria killing properties is limited to the New Zealand/Australian honey ? Can you ask your friend if our North American Honey has the same qualities. Maybe you could sell it for her on GLP ? THey are getting pollen from the same tree that they make teatree oil out of. Wonder if tea tree essential oil has the same effect? Yes. [link to aromatherapyliving.com] from description: Melaleuca Quinquenervia Essential Oil (Melaleuca quinquenervia ) (or Niaouli) has many applications due to its chemical constituents and is widely used traditionally by indigenous Australians who make a brew to treat colds, headaches and general illness. It is commonly known as the Broad-leaved Paperbark, Broad-leaved Tea Tree or simply Paperbark or Tea Tree in Australia, and as Punk Tree in the United States. |

If you ever know someone with a sore that won't heal, have them try honey applied directly on the sore. Results are apparently close to miraculous. Surprisingly, even SUGAR works as a topical remedy for sores that won't heal, or so I have read. DO be careful of eating cheap honey, as another poster mentioned...some unscrupulous greedy manufacturers feed their bees high fructose corn syrup (cheaper), and that can't be very healthy. |

We all know there will be no honey-based medicines and if there are, they will be full of toxins and will be no better than antibiotics anyway. Far from being an obscure health food with dubious healing qualities, new research has shown the honey kills every type of bacteria scientists have thrown at it, including the antibiotic-resistant “superbugs” plaguing hospitals and killing patients around the world. Quoting: Phennommennonn No matter how many times natural cures are proven to work, and work wonders at it, they just have to put some reference to it being 'obscure', 'quackery' etc... pure fekking slander it is Well we know the truth, so as long as they don't ban these products, all is well. |

Basically the bees get the nectar from sugar water (or something like that) from sugar refineries. So you get this watery cheap crap with no goodness in it. In fact I was suspicious of it when it first appeared on the supermarket shelves several years ago. The stuff appeared very runny inside the jars. But the other big give a way was the price. It was obvious to me that something so cheap had something wrong with it. Turned out I was right because I read an article about it a few weeks ago. ^ THIS!!! ^ |

I love it when they use science to confirm how wrong their science was. Everyone REMEMBER this thread the next time John McCain tries to pass a bill outlawing vitamins and homeopathic meds. Stay alert. The bastards will try to slip it into the next healthcare bill. |

But I got put onto GSE (Grapefruit Seed Extract) a while ago and THAT stuff is Excellent. It wiped out a toenail infection, cleared up some diabetic scratches and even a festering sore almost directly. Does anyone have experience with both and can make a comparison? I doubt anything can be as good as GSE.. |

I recently picked up a book from the local library which talked about all the uses of Honey. The females of Egypt used the Honey for smooth skin also. I have been eating local honey for about a year or more. I use it a few times per day for energy and overall good health. Anyone with allergies should use a local honey. The bees will collect from flowers in the local area and once humans eat the honey they build up resistance from the pollen that is making them sick. The Egyptians had many ways to heal the body such as energy rods and many things we have never been told about. That is why they are always vilified and called evil. TPTB does not want people looking into Egyptian technology or the way they used nature to cure the body. One thing I do every morning that is very easy. Mix a table spoon of local honey with Cayenne Pepper, Cinnamon, Turmeric, with hot water. I like to make a cup anytime I get hungry or need extra energy. And yes hydrogen peroxide is a cure al |
