Hmm, I still have two of those in effect at my house. One is orange and the dial is in the earpiece. It was expensive in the '70s, hehe, the other is a "bat phone" basic black rotary. They still work, even when the power goes out and the cordless doesn't. You just can't use them to contact anyone that wants you to "press 1 for English".  That's awesome! These things are nigh indestructible.
