Anonymous Coward User ID: 8970496 United States 03/16/2012 02:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had one of those dreams where you're completely aware and walking around like it's real life and seen a fucking huge wall of water. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12554527 It was about a mile away from my house roughly, and I know the area VERY well. It was like a clone of the area although I had a feeling of knowing the game was up and it wasn't even worth running, then seen water like what, say 1000 ft tall just moving towards me and a feeling of knowing there was nothing that could be done. Was kind've fucked up. I get a few dreams like that. Do you get lucid dreams often? When I do, I'm always in a place that the colors look so bright they're like neon lights and the place I'm in is familiar but yet almost like another planet. Weird. For the past 2 years or so I have had these practically every other night. Its always like a slightly better version of our world. Theres this really strong sense of melancholy and nostalgia I have during these. Although, I wouldn't call them all completely lucid. But very vivid and real seeming. Have been really looking for others who experience these as well. Only seem to find others here. |

I WAS IN MY HOUSE... I WAS LIKE HOPEFULLY I HAVE TIME TO PRAY... I HAVE BEEN HAVING TSUNAMI DREAMS SINCE I WAS LITTLE THOUGH... MY WHOLE LIFE |

I thought I remembered reading one time that the asteroid that made the Grand Canyon was 80 meters. Don't hold me to that though! Quoting: Doomalicious If I Google anything regarding asteroid, I get redirected. I can't post any links to back this up and this is stumping me. This is why I wish someone could attempt to research this and post. I'm pretty sure water is pissed that an asteroid gets the praise for the grand canyon! Yes, pretty sure that was the Colorado River? I'M SURE IT WAS MORE THAN THAT |

Weird. amen to that, although I have Lucid dreams in all sorts of environments but every time they all seem familiar but sooo alien like at the same time, never the less always such a good rush but mine seem to only last about 10 minutes or so it feels like because as soon as i tell myself I'm dreaming I immediately test it by attempting to fly and thats when my mind starts to unravel and wake up. Flying dreams are awesome. I have had more than a couple in my lifetime. I never willed it in the dream though. Back to the asteroid. Let's hope it does miss the earth, but if it doesn't, panicing is useless. I am literally in Father's Hands.I pray all of you are too! |

Quoting: meganebula Very slow moving, but beautiful imagery, and the end is what all glpers wait for...... havent yet. Was told it wasnt what it was made out to be and the only doom was 5 min at the end. Is it worth watching? I liked it, but it's just my opinion |

Quoting: meganebula Very slow moving, but beautiful imagery, and the end is what all glpers wait for...... I waited desperately for that movie. I exspected so much from it but it was really dissappointing. They could have done so much with the story but it was really shit. And the end is shit. That is not what is going to happen. Don't waste your time. Spend it on glp instead, it's much more enlightening. And. It appears to be coming from the south. Not positive so could someone else look at that. Cause to me it looks like it will definately hitt in the southern hemisphere. |

Quoting: Doomalicious No. CME's are irrelevant to the orbital motions of asteroids. Once the orbit is well-determined it is extremely predictable over human timespans. This particular asteroid only has one potential impact in 2048 and the odds on it are extremely low (10^-7). [link to neo.jpl.nasa.gov] Last Edited by Astromut on 03/16/2012 11:02 AM |

Can we Tell yet where the moon will be when it apogees(sp? use?)? |

The lunar miss distance will be about 359,000 km. It misses the moon by more than it misses us by. |

When I saw this listed on SpaceWeather earlier today I clicked on the link to NASA JPL and got a virus. Quoting: Doomalicious Just now I googled 2012 EG5 and got redirected. SpaceWeather is showing the size to be 65 meters and .6 LD from Earth on April 2. I can't seem to research this more since I'm getting viruses and redirected. The Asteroid was discovered 2 days ago. Can someone please let us know if this is something to be concerned about? DO NOT google anything....change your search engine, bing, anything but the interloping google... |
