I think that Mercury and Venus would be swallowed in this scenario, as the sun would swell up to consume them before collapsing back into a white dwarf star. How Earth could possibly survive this, I don't know. So I'm highly skeptical of this proposed scenario, but interested to hear other views. However, I personally don't think that 4th and 5th dimensional reality would be affected in the same way, perhaps this is precisely the scenario that will create the splitting of Earth into different dimensions as some people describe.
