Man Arrested, Jailed, Put On Electronic Monitoring For House Siding Code Violation!!!

he's just a small fish in the ocean of sharks..but it's pretty much john smith, every town usa.. besides that he really didn't do anything really wrong.. he had that power. but that house was perfect.. had already heard they were flunking all first inspects for co's to make up for the insiders, who never even had to get one..

It's not that difficult to draw up a plan, calculate the cost, and you'll even get a discount by buying in bulk and having everything delivered...

I would rather have seen his house foreclosed on due to excess fines than his civil liberties taken. I would have taken up arms and would be on the ones responsible like stink on shit. Off withered heads.

A Burnsville man on his way to work was arrested and thrown in jail without bond, and then subjected to electronic home monitoring.

But it wasn’t for drugs or a DWI or some other major crime.

Burnsville city leaders say Mitch Faber’s dealings with the law all stem from his failure to properly put up siding on his house.

Yep, siding.

Faber says he had every intention of completing the stucco and decorative rock project on his home but he ran into money troubles when the economy soured...

Mitch and his wife Jean say it all began back in 2007 when they received a letter from the city of Burnsville saying, in part, "you must complete the siding of your home."...

No one knows the behavior of this individual. How many luxury items has he purchased over the last five years. How many times have they gone out to eat? How many new computers have they purchased? How many vacations have they taken? It is people that think they are entitled to luxuries instead of maintaining their property that cause these issues. Whatever derogatory name you have for those people, the more correct term is TRASH!

Cities have codes and you have to abide by them. They are just like any other large organization with an in house attorney and they can bury you in fines and legal fees if you do not abide try to fight them.

I know a guy that lost his entire retirement due to dealings with a building department after he bought a house with attached apartments to rent, and he was not even trying to fight them. They just fined him and delayed him to death.

I knew people at the city and got involved and got them to drop the fines, but by then he was already going under.
