Watch the right hand side of the image from about 1:00 until 1:03.

"It" isn't there for long, but it seriously looks like a person in a "light bending" suit arrives on the scene, bekons a soldier over and gives instructions to him.

run it through three different video programs then tell me it's a invisible man? yes, the technology is here. But not in this video. It's created by the out of focus branches and pixelisation of the poor quality video. It's your brain playing tricks

Hey weirdos...
It's a compression artifact caused by the high detail and rapid movement of leaves.

Re: GRAPHIC - Military Dog Attack - BUT DID YOU SEE THE INVISIBLE MAN?? (DE-BUNKED)
Leaves. Compression glitches.

Both bullshit.

At exactly 1:01 in the first video I posted, you can see the "invisible man" arrive from the right.

The area in the footage/screen he covers is nowhere near a tree. There are no leaves there before or after he arrrives. Also, you can see the same shimmering effect on the ground from nearly at his feet (out of the picture) to the base of the tree in the background, as well as on the leaves there too.

BEFORE he arrives, you can momentarily see the leaves and they aren't shimmering.

Leaves...pffft...give me something real for debunking it. Its the WHOLE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE VIDEO that shimmers when he arrives, not just an isolated branch...

Compression artifact? Fast moving objects (leaves) causing this shimmering effect?

Look seriously, I opened that video expecting to see a dog mauling a man. Who would be thinking of wanting to see an invisible man in that video??

All 3 arguments (leaves, artifact, wanting to see something) are, although not entirely the artifacts, baseless.

In regards to the artifacts, I cant see it anywhere else in the video. Some have said it does happen, but without a time frame, where to look? Honestly I cant see it except for that one time. Also, the overall quality of the video is not that bad. And you said it was "compression artifacts because of fast moving leaves"... Well, the shimmering image is NOT just where the leaves are. See above. Its on the grass and ground also.

If you cant see it thats ok, but to say its any of the 3 things above is just delusional.

Anyway, its not of personal importance to me if you think I'm taking drugs (which I dont) or eating too many frogs legs (possible), you dont have to accept what you're seeing.

I think you should look up MPEG4 or AVC videos, any with action in them and moving parts like sports. Then you will see how h.264 works and how it uses deblocking filters to smooth things out and produce what you are seeing.

Any other arguement you have is baseless and irrational. Look at all the people that are pausing it and filtering it and studying it. You think they are all just being assholes? We are trying to help you and explain the effect on the damn screen.

You really are strange.

You think I havent slowed it down myself already? You think I havent watched enough digital video's of all sorts in my lifetime to recognise artifacts when I see them? You dont even know me so please dont insult me.

IF it was some fast moving objects causing the artifacts as you say, then why does it not happen all through the video? There are PLENTY of fast moving images in there. But no. The ONE time it happens, that looks like a man wearing an invisible suit that in fact are currently being developed (ie; i didnt make this shit up) by the military, you say its artifacts and fast moving objects.

Right.

Anyway, I'm done here. It wasnt my intention to convince anyone of anything, BUT, I will argue strongly against anyone that does the same in favour of leaves or artifacts for an explanation.

Seriously.

Trees? Encoding glitch?

Forgive me for not believing either of those two explanations. I can't imagine personally how you would either.

And sure, in the same token you dont have to accept my proposal either.

No-one really cares what the other believes.

Its not trees. Its not a glitch. Look at the DEFINITE outline of the figure in question. Watch the body language and behaviour of the soldier arriving to speak with "it".

I am convinced personally, that the "invisible" figure arriving from the right of the video at about 1:00 is indeed a person based on the outlines, direction of movement, reaction of the visible soldier who enters the scene at 1:01 (you see the back of his head first, then after he's listened to the "invisible" guy on his right, he walks away from the camera and participates in the action following what appears to be instructions) and the cloaking technology is in fact a fully fledged military tech in use "TODAY" and not in its "infant stages".

 Quoting: Harry82

Wow you really don't want to accept reality, do you?

Also, you do not know anything about video compression obviously. I have done video editing for a long time and I can tell you that there IS ARTIFACTING all through the damn video!

Look at the grass. Know why you only see patches of solid green and not blades of grass like in a photograph? Because of the compression artifacts! The video is low quality and probably had a low bitrate. The compression codec tries to cover up the blocky artifacts due to this by blurring the edges/area of the blocks. It literally smoothes out the picture and you see patches like in the video instead of lines of grass.

The whole thing is a mess of bad quality, low bitrate, and heavy deblocking in order to try hide the immense macroblocks. The whole thing is blurred and smoothed to hell.

What is happening with you is, your eyes caught the edge with the leaves and your brain quickly interpreted it and thought "holy shit predator from the movies" and for some reason, you are ignoring reality and not letting that go.

It is the same thing that happens with shadows. You think you see a dark spot that your brain interprets as a person out of the corner of your eye, but when you look and see more detail, you see it is just your jackets hanging on the wall. For some reason however, you refuse to accept this normal human eye trait, which sees movement first, shadows/silhouettes after that, and detail last.

The video has a tree with leaves again at 2:40. You can see that since there is too much movement for the bitrate of the video to accurately display all of the detail, the whole tree gets that predator effect. LOOK AT IT Blurred to hell. It does not "only happen at that one spot". Hell, the words on the screen have bad effects around them the whole time.

I doubt you will try anything that takes effort, but do this: make a video, a slow pan of a tree or something complex and maybe even see-through. Then make a video panning really fast, shake the shit out of the camera. Then compress both videos with high bitrate and low bitrate and play with the Deblocking filter (h264/avc). You will see for your own french eyes the blurring and deblocking effects.

After this explanation, I can only assume you are a troll. Or a moron. One or the other.

That does look like a cloaking device to me. From a distance you wouldn't see anything but up close you'd see some disturbance so you could tell something was there I think. Of course, they would be working on making this more seamless, but I hope they don't quite master it because the thought of true invisibility scares me. It just shouldn't be possible.

All in all, I'm glad now I can sleep at night.
