I respect anyone that makes honest money with their own two hands (unlike the bankers/traders/speculators/middlemen). You may want to check out your local ornamental iron supply shop....lots of prefab'd design elements you can buy off the shelf to fancy up your designs. I'm gettin ideas about turning some free, leftover big wooden spools into tables now. See what you've done hahaha. Good luck and have fun building those pieces of art. |

I'd like a marble or granite top. I'll look for updates & pics in the meantime ~ nice work! I live in the DFW area ~ perhaps by the summer you'll be available to work out a new design with me for my coffee table? :) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4129627 Absolutely. Anything you can imagine, we can pretty much do it, depending on materials and price :-) There's a store over there, packed with all kinds of western and Tex decorative items, it's kind of outside of town - they have a lot of pottery and hanging decor outside the building - pretty nice stuff, interesting place. Do you have any idea the name of it? Maybe you could sell your work there? |

Quoting: MrOysterhead what do you charge for something like that? 600.00 - 1200.00 depending on materials and labor. :-) All of ours are steel and wood. Wonderful work! I wish you the best on your business! The tables are super nice and though they might sound expensive, you sure would never have to buy another one! This is the kind of furniture I love. |
| January Wolves User ID: 12771341 03/20/2012 12:28 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nice, Geek. The tables are beautiful. And some GLPers have given some good ideas such as gaming tables and to go after commercial customers such as restaurants. When we lived down by Yosemite (just below the south gate) there was a man who made tables out of burls. He also made clocks & other things. He used to sell out of a little store out on the highway with some of his tables sitting out front to lure the tourists. He always had customers in there. |

A few idea's of mine..make a nice rugged texas bed frame with the big texas state logo at the end of the bed and/or behind the head of the bed on the back board or the board at the end after where the feet rest..but on the outside of course so when you walk into the room you see the big texas logo..just an idea. I just think a texas style bed frame in a rugged texas style would be nice...especially for say.. bachelor texan cowboys..i could see them buying something like this. Another thing you guys could do is make some matching wooden chairs for the tables..just an idea. I think the work you guys do is very good..love wood furniture. :mesig432: |

Note the Texas state outline, and the glass covering. It's a message: Texas Republican presidential candidates want your head in the ground and your glass in the air. What does that mean? I don't know! It's not a store that sells pig latin, obviously. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 12800862 03/20/2012 01:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have a recommendation for your table designing. You know that groove that is made in the wood, of whatever design? Well you don't need a slab of glass to even that out in the future. The resin that is used to make orgone products. It's like epoxy or jewelry resin or boat resin. You can use that to fill the grooves, and put a shiny layer over your tables. No glass, no special fragile warnings needed. |
