King James I didn't write the KJV bible - it was simply named for him, since he was ruling at the time it came out. That version of the bible is the FIRST English language version (translated from Latin catholic bible, I believe).

Puritans (like my ancestors) and many other Protestant Christians, while using the KJV (ENGLISH) bible -- also -- read and translate the ancient scriptures from the original Greek and Hebrew.

We who are of English heritage understand that language, and we realize the limitations of the KJV bible enough to research and study the original texts.

We're not as stupid as you seem to think.
