So far, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS) National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC) there have been no seismic reports that would indicate a tectonic plate shift centered around Clintonville, WI.

No, we would be just fine. We would have beach for sure though and a really big river. Franklin County is in a good spot. We have the Mountains to the West and the Mountains to the East. The biggest Levees. We are not that low to be completely flooded in. I think we are good.

the sounds are only herd in one area of the town if it was the rift would'nt the sounds be louder and be herd in a larger area? and I can't find audio of the noise but there is a posibitly that its like the noises herd in other parts of the world earlyer this year.

Thank you. I am guessing the severe shift from Cold to Hot temperatures is also contributing to this. Agitating the rift somehow from the fast expanding of the mantle as it rapidly heats up. The weather patterns are completely off in this country and every where else.

I live forty miles from Clintonville. Been following this closely. Saw that link and had to share. Was watching a ustream last night live in Clintonville, and the reporter commented on the smell. Now they have smell and a strange substance in sewers seventy miles south? Makes you wonder.

Fwiw, I have heard those noises twice. Once last fall, once again last night. Both times it lasted two or three minutes.

The smell confirms it is coming from below and that it could possibly be seismic, tectonic plate movement and or Magma flow.

I agree entirely with the final comment. If you have dizziness, headaches or other symptons, the FIRST explanation for your symptoms can be found when you visit your doctor. The LAST explanation is earth tremors, methane or any other phenomenon, especially when your symptoms aren't expreienced by thousands or millions of people in your area.

Factories in Clintonville manufacture specialized vehicles and components for military equipment. These companies include Seagrave Fire Apparatus, Schutt Industries and Walker Forge. The factories have been there for quite some time under different names and owners, and they did manufacture vehicles and equipment during WW II. Though I have no information on tunnels, it wouldn't surprise me if they were built as a military defense measure or to increase efficiency in transferring components from one manufacturer to another, such as for finishing or final assembly.
