No doubt about the abnormal temps. As one who lives here I can attest to this. March and April are usually "ice chipping time". During the days, temps usually get a bit above freezing, melting accumulated snow, then much below at night, freezing any water. I chip, chip, chip for weeks to keep the driveway clear.

This year, over a week of 80+ degrees in a row, daffodils done blooming people have mowed yards once or twice. Weathermen looking like fools as they are off on the daily highs by 20 degrees (clearly something not in their computer model is going on).

Just to put this in perspective, normally people are still driving pickup trucks on the lakes here to get to their ice fishing shanties. A lot may be argued or unclear, but the temps are a matter of record. Look at news channel waow for the number of "record breaking days" we've had in March 2012.
