There are many times when a quake this close, or along our plate boundary, produces a concern for elevated earthquake activity across the Pacific Coast, California included. Many occasions have noted this type of pattern, especially from Central America to California so this watch will be in place for the next 48 hours as this is the crucial time for the faults to be disturbed by the strong quake south of here.
